Requested to speak to someone in the family by name.
I told them they were not home and they insist the person call back the number.
The caller refused to review the reason or the company it is calling from.

Someone left a message on my CELL PHONE saying to call them back at this number and it was regarding very important information.

I received a call from 1-866-593-3926, It sounds like a scam.  When I called them back it sounded like a credit bureau or something. They asked me if I had a Macy or Bloomingdales card.  I said Macy's, and they ask for the account # so they could retreive the account.  I gave them the card number, then they said while they were retreiving the information they asked for my name, luckly I just said the first name, social security #, I said NO WAY, then they asked for my date of birth.  This sounds kind of fishy to me.  I am calling Macy's as soon as they open and canceling my account.  Can someone please tell me whether is is Identifty theft or not?  Who is this calling,

These jerks keep calling us, and won't quit.  It's driving my wife crazy.  When they call or leave a message they ask for me by name.  I have a Macy's Visa.

I had this number left on machine.  I used google and saw several macy's comments. It is Macy's or the Visa part of Macy's card which I found out is somehow seperate.  I paid Macy's yet they show credit on Macy's account and I owe Visa!! I emailed to get cleared up.    Never give info to caller just say okay if you are with Macy's I'll look up their number and call them!!  Or email like I did.  But they are getting number from Macy's.

We got a call from this number on our answering machine and were asked to call back immediately to a specific person.
When we called it back it said that the offices were closed.
They have called before - I feel like we're being harassed repeatedly.
Who are they and how can we stop them?

This number called and asked for me by name at a number i no longer live at. i have a macy's visa so i'll let my ex roomies know whats going on.

I got a call from a Mr. Eisen at 866-593-3926, ext. 87313.  I am pretty sure it's Macys Visa and I'm pretty sure it's a collection agency.   They don't state why they are calling and never leave a msg.

I received a call from 513-573-8739 and when I answered the young lady asked for my aunt and when I told her she was not home she asked me to have her call 866-593-3926. She would not tell me what the call was in reference to. They call as early as 7:30am and as late as 9:00pm. They even call on Sundays. I called the number back and found out that it is to collect a debt for Macy's Visa accounts.

This is a scam! They have called me from two different numbers. Somehow they got my home number and insisted on talking to me. I called them back and they asked if I had a Macys account. I told them I wasn't comfortable talking to them and hung up. Macys would never call like this, beware of these people!

caller refuse to tell me what the purpose of his call was all the information he said was that the matters was personal. After i insisted for more information the caller hung up the phone. We got several calls this morning from the same number... The caller ID said Mason, OH. I finally answered it, and it was a man asking for my mother about business. I took down his name and number, it was Mr. Byington this time, and asked for a more detailed message. He was very rude about it and said it's a personal business matter. I was very suspicious about his rudeness, so I called my mom, but told her to not give out any info incase it was a scam. She called and they said it was a credit company. The first thing the lady did was ask for the number from which she received the call. My mom told her that they had called her, so she was sure that was on file and that they did not need it again. They insisted that they needed the number, but she told them that all she was doing was returning a call from Mr. Byington and that that was all the info she was going to give the lady. The lady said they couldn't locate him right now and just hung up.

*This is a scam! Please don't give them any information! If it truly was a credit company from which you had a card, they would already have your information and you would not need to answer all of the questions!

I received a call from a "Ms. Rowe" from Mason OH.  The call was actually for my girlfriend.  They said it was "personal business" and because of our "state laws" she could not discuss the matter.  So I looked the number up on Google.  I called the number and asked for a Ms Rowe and the lady sighed and said she didn't know her.  I told her the number she left, 866-593-3926, and the woman, a Ms. Reingart this time, said "oh we have a lot of phone numbers here".  I hung up.  Sounds like a cold call-type scam to me.

If this is the way Macy's does business, they can forget about me as a customer. Had similar call from 877-947-6229 a few days ago from a different number in Mason, Ohio also checked this number and came up with a similar list of complaints about calls from people who want info but don't identify who they are calling from.  The number is Macy's but the tactics are from hungar. Bye-bye Macy's (not buy-buy).

I recieved a call from 1-866-593-2567 and 1-408-418-5551 , they are both related and are scam artists.  I have heard 4 different stories from them on 4 different occasions.  Thay have also talked and tried to scam others that have picked up the phone here also.  Always a foreigner and always someone who claims not to be selling anything but the number is listed as a telemarketer.  Thay have lied to me on many occasions using lie after lie.  Do Not Give Them Any information.  They ask for you by your first name and never your last name.  2 seperate occasions they have told me I was in line for a sweepstakes or other BS - I quickly replied ok then just send it to me.  Never give them your address and even tell them that they have the right phone number.  They always give me crap now but don't let up on the calls.  This country is under attack from scam artists around the world.  Does our govt. even care??????

The number is Macy's/Bloomingdale's accounts, and if they're calling, you're probably late on your credit card payment (as I was).

That said, you can always protect yourself by telling them you'll call them back on the number on the back of your credit card.

I just received a call from this number.  I didn't answer it.  I called back and a woman with an accent (perhaps Middle Eastern) answered. Sounded like she was in a very noisy call center of sorts.  I couldn't understand her, so I hung up.  Probably just as well; could be a scam!
