I have gotten calls from this number frequently.  I just got a new Verizon Cell Phone in the store which automatically renewed my plan (I'm grandfathered in by they way - you can keep your old, lower priced plan!!!).  When they called my ON MY NEW CELL the first time I told them I had a new phone and plan and they said they would update their system.  I guess such a high-tech communication company takes quite a while to "update my profile".  If you want to keep me as a customer, Verizon should stop pissing me off!!!

Calls everyday and hangs up. I return the call and claims to be verizon by automatic machine. It further repeatedly says it will transfer the call but keeps repeating for about 5 mins (and at times sounds like the line has gone dead).... but hang on ... someone does eventually answer and will put your phone on a do-not-call list.

Most likely another cell phone company trying to scam. Well, they keep doing it and the $500 from do-not-call will pay for my yearly phone bill.

I Googled this # after receiving multiple calls from it with no one on the line when I answered. I read the previous writers comments and it was then that I realized it was coming from Verizon. I too have recently gotten a call about renewing my contract to which I reponded that I would visit my local store should I decide that I wanted a brand new piece of [***] phone for free.
Apparently they did not like my response.

This is an out sourcted telemarketer so Verizon acan say that its not them calling. The caller is very tricky as they suggest that your plan will expire and you should upgrade to a new plan. A commission for them. When I pushed back really hard the person backpeddled to the statement that they were simply "advising" me of an alternative plan. I spoke to the supervisor and complained about the misleading suggestion that I need to give up my old plan. They apologized and said they'd take me off the call list. That was 90 days ago, and I just saw a new message from this number.
My advise take the call, and blast them about solicitation tactics.

I have been getting these calls to. Every day. I answer and no one is there. I called back and it said thank you for calling Verizon, please hold for a representative. I held for about 5 minutes and there was nothing.

I sent a complaint to Verizon Customer Service and they said they'd look into it. It is now dead air when you call it.

I got this call multiple times. Called back and I was quickly transferred to a rep. He said this is Verizon and apologized. Confirmed that he would take me out of the do not call list. Let's see...

Also received a call from this number. My contract w/Verizon is about to expire so I'm assuming it's from them.

This is legal under DNC List rules if you already do business with Verizon.  I called back and after 10 minutes on hold got someone named Charlotte who claimed that there was an IT Dept glitch that caused the non-response because it did not recognize I had responded.  I blasted them and threatened to pull all my Verizon accounts.  I told her to get the IT Dept to FIX it!!!

is a telemarketing company named Kipany – they have been hired by Verizon Wireless Marketing Dept. (800-477-7752) to offer extra services – I have received numerous calls and always the person hangs up;  I got tired of it and stayed home one day and spent 4 hours tracking the number down.

I was also hounded by this company Kipany Productions to which I finally answered and spoke to a man who claimed to be from Verizon.  He actually lowered my monthly bill by $5/month or so, but not according to my bill from Verizon.  When I called Verizon told me they are an in-direct account and they don't "know how they have access to their accounts" and that I would have to call Kipany Productions customer care number regarding any questions or problems, Verizon couldn't do anything.  Completely furious with Verizon for letting something like this happen and for not informing their customers they are giving access to our accounts to other companies.  I am a 14 year customer but I didn't want to pay the $125 early termination fee!  So mad and so disappointed in Verizon!

they are blatant liars. i entertained their offer for a free phone under the guise of a special program for high data user (like myself) called AWS (Advanced Wireless Service) or XLTE. The offer was for a free phone upgrade to any phone that works on their XLTE network except the Iphone 6's, which is fine for me anyway, because i am an android user. I chose the Samsung Galaxy S5. The deal was a free phone, in the S5's case it was actually $199 discount. Being that the phone was $249 there would be a balance of $49.99 but as luck would have it, they claimed there was a MIR, mail in rebate for the balance from Samsung. Never able to confirm that BTW.  So the total cost to me after MIR would be 0. In addition, i would be allowed to keep my unlimited data plan!!! I thought this was odd because just a week ago Verizon was still speaking about throttling high data users. I spoke to several reps including Donna Wagner, Denise Crump (several times), Brenda Pate, Laura Mercer and others that i spoke to minimally i did not take their names. For those i did speak to at length i explained the MOST important thing to me was keeping my data plan. They continuously reassure me that this was a special plan specific to a handful of high data users like myself to take advantage of their XLTE network which affords you double the speed of their LTE network. I understood that i would need to sign a 2 year contract. That didn't bother me. I am happy with Verizon as a service. Despite my reservations about the supposed complete reversal of policy towards high data users and after having exhausted every iteration of ways to ask the question "are you sure i get to keep my unlimited data plan" i agreed to the promo. I was told that there was a 14 day return policy and a $35 restocking fee if i opened the box. I was cool with that, i am expecting to get a free S5 and keep my unlimited data plan after all. They also offered my a special on a bundle including 3 screen protectors a case and a car charger, but i declined. So, i waited for my email confirmation and my phone. I got my email confirmation and what do i see? The data plan indicated on my account now read "2GB Data Bundle with Personal Email - $30.00" I was furious. I called back and explained my problem. They claimed that it was a simple clerical error and could easily be resolved...that in order to process the order they first had to go into the system and changed the data plan and once the order is processed "simply" go back in and revert it to the original plan. This is a load of BS if i ever heard some because of course this can only resolved with Verizon customer care for some reason and not with them. Oh, forgot to mention that they claimed every thing we spoke about and everyone i spoke to would be in notes on my account and that the call s were recorder for quality...yeah right. When i told Verizon customer care the names of the people i spoke to in length "the liars" none of their names "popped" on the account as they said it would. Basically no one can be held responsible. Anyway, Verizon customer care checked all current programs and explained to me that there are no programs at all that they offer that allow the user to keep their unlimited data plan. So. of course i filed a complaint and was told i would be contacted within 48 - 72 hours. it is now over 200 hours later and i have not heard from the manager i was supposed to hear from. Naturally, i rejected the Fedex shipment of my phone as soon as it was delivered but i am still seriously PO'd. Hopefully, now everything will stay as is and i will go and pay full price for my next phone to keep my unlimited data plan. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! BLATANT LIARS!!! THEY INTENTIONALLY MISLEAD CUSTOMERS TO MAKE THEIR COMMISSIONS.
