Got a call on my cell phone, said they were calling for IN Dept Revenue and then asked how to locate  r2xyza (my ex husband) told them I did not know how to locate him and they immediately hung up on me. What I would like to know
is how they got my cell number?

Received a call from Indiana revenue asking for payment for non filed tax return

Called me today and after I told them they had the wrong person and wrong # they hung up on me. I have an iPhone so I simply blocked the # from ever calling me again. In fact any # that calls me that I don't know, I block. Easy peasy

A woman asked to speak to a person I did not know. I told her I didn't, and  she said, "Thank you, have a nice day."

They are legit. Although the numbers they give you seem absurd, keep in mind it's an ESTIMATED bill from the state. Generally, it's because you forgot to file or send in, and when the state ESTIMATES they do not take into account any state/local tax, or standard deductions. I ignored them (listening to people on sites like this) and my bank account was put on hold. I filed, and turned my $4,400+ tax bill into $0...but it was a week long headache! If they call, answer, verify with the state, but DO NOT IGNORE.

This number called me multiple times in a week without leaving a voicemail. I called back and it is Premiere Credit which is a debt collection agency and turns out they had the wrong number. The woman was nice and removed my number from the account which did not belong to me.

Found out was telamarketing

Caller says her name is Carry says we owe state taxes but dosn't no anything else!

Received call asking if I was officer of Azata, Inc. company owe back IN state taxes. Scam per IN AG office http://www.in.gov/dor/5302.htm I bet the number is spoofed too.

Said they were from Indiana Department of Revenue.  That we owe $671.76.  We are a non-profit charity.
