These bozos keep calling. They say they are with "doctors without borders" but they are a supposed fund raising company. Scammers!!  Never answer a call from any "800". Number.  I'm on DNC list but they ignore it.

Just called Karl Holweger Director of the outfit told him to take my name from his list that i was not pleased at all. He stuck like glue asking me which charities I supported I had to politely and firmly told him that the discussion was close. British accent.

I told him to take my #phone from his lists. He said he will. So far I felt that this time he was genuinely willing to help.  Crossing my fingers.

I just got a call from this number and when I answered, there wasn't anybody there.

My name is Graeme Binning and I am the Operations Director for Fundraising Direct. We currently present this telephone number when making survey, administrative and fundraising calls on behalf of a number of charitable organizations.

Let me start by apologizing to everyone who may have received a call from us that was either unwanted, or more importantly not to the level of professionalism and courtesy that we expect from all of our staff.

We do have an e-mail address for any and all feedback in regards to either being removed from our calling lists, or lodging a complaint about a call you have received. That address is feedback@fundraisingdirect.ca.

Please be assured we take all complaints very seriously, and investigate fully each one that we receive.

In order to swiftly locate your details in our system all we need is your telephone number and your name,  and we will then be able to remove the record from all future calling. It is absolutely not our intention to call anyone who does not wish to be contacted, and so you will be removed from all future calling that we conduct.

Rest assured we are a genuine fundraising company which supports many charities in their fundraising efforts, but it is not our intention to make calls to people who do not want to receive them.

Let me finish by once again personally offering my apologies for any inconvenience that you may have experienced as a result of receiving one of our calls.

Received another call from this number - have sent them an email as suggested requesting removal, hopefully they'll listen

I contacted Fundraising Direct via their email address - feedback@fundraisingdirect.ca - asking to be removed and recieved confirmation within a few hours that it was done.

I have received a few of these calls. The latest one talked about the unicef plumpy nut. He said he was calling from the UK and wanted me to commit to donations. I told him I wasn't prepared to do that and he lowered the amount from $20.00 amonth to $5.00 a month.  
This call bothered me as I do contribute to UNicef and consider them to be very worthwhile.

I answered and before they could even get into their spiel, I asked for my number to be taken off their call list. If you answer and there is a real person on the other end you can tell them to remove the number from their call list and they must do so.

Just got a call from this company saying they were from the Canadian Cancer Society asking for monthly donations.

The keep calling me and won't answer..

I was sitting on the chair, this number called me, My brother was sitting on the couch and I told him I wasn't answering it was an 866 number. Before my phone finished ringing his started, calling from the same number. We have very different phone numbers, we aren't on each others plan, so they're getting a list somewhere. If you see this number coming up email a complaint to the CRTC.

I got a call that is 166-642-0839 that is the second time that I am getting these messages and never leaves no message, also do not know this number what so ever.

Daniel....I once asked Bell to block some phone numbers that were calling from early morning till late evening...and never left a massage!  Bell told me they could block it  for free but after, I believe 3 numbers, I would have to pay and I would be wasting my money, because those companies have several numbers and simply switch to using another number when calling me again! I no longer answer calls that shows as 'No name'!

They call every day, and today he claimed to be the "Cancer Society"

Called my work cell phone at 8:40 pm EST. I will not answer 800 numbers at any time. Am blocking this number on the I-phone.

I will never give to a charity again. this is abuse and harassment!!!

The name of the company is Fundraising Direct and they work on behalf of numerous clients, mostly charity.
