Be careful of these folks. They have your credit card #s from any default loans you might have had. Even if you have paid them off.  They will use a similar credit card # thinking if it's an old debt  you might not quite remember. Never call these people back!

today Chris Millir of Phillips and Burns called my cell. called himself an officer. so when i called him back he started asking me information regaurding my address phone numbers famill maiden names stuff like that. i respecfully refused. he then told me he was a collection agency for HSBC bank and that he was handleing my debt. talking for a bit he then said how much i owed...it was 500$ more than i knew i did. he said he would take half of what i owe if i paid right then and there to settle my debt. as soon as i mentioned my laywer talking to him he became rude and had a harsher tone trying to assure me i didnt need one. he continues to call me today trying verify that i will be paying him. a little eager. i just want to say thank you world wide web. i looked up the firm and found out many bad reviews about being a holes and scam/con artists. i will not be sending any money to this guy but be aware of a Chris Miller with the phone number 716-270-5517 it is a scam. i called HSBC directly and found that they do not even deal with any firm Named Phillips and Burns or P&B. and was even sujested to call the local sherrif fraud dept by the telephone operator

I received a call AT WORK asking me to call Meosha (ext 241) reguarding a credit card collection. After discussion with the woman for a while, I realized what she was trying to collect and it was on an account I settled in 2008. I was called a liar about paying the account and about what exactly the collection was for. The woman stated that there was no payment to the account and that I would have to contact the company I paid to prove that the account is closed and also said that she is serving me to pay for the amount she is asking plus attorney fees. They gave me 24 hours to fax them proof of the account being paid in full YEARS ago even though I told her that I will need time to do the research and request a letter from the company I paid. She said that I did not need to take the time because I never paid anything and I that I am a lying dirbag. Because she spoke to my supervisor before me, my work now thinks I am not paying my bills (and I work in payroll). I have no idea how they got my work number, especially since I just started working here, but to the best of my knowledge, they can not contact my employer, especially before contacting me.

Whats funny is Everything you are saying in 100% true, I actually use to work for them and I had to leave because they are so full of it. The company is going down, I'm just glad I got out of there before the fall occured. Don't worry about their threatening calls they cant do anything to you. If you just fax them a signed letter telling them not to call anymore than they wont. What [***], ashamed to have to put them on my resume... smh..

This guy named " John Cuningham" started calling me this morning and o boi has he been presistent even calling my home! i have no idea who these poeple are, and boi is he the rudest collector thats ever called me. I keep telling him that not me and he keeps saying it is? haha ediot, and he gave me an ultimatum to call him by 6pm today? really after all i have read about these people no thanks I will keep ignoring there calls man ima have to change my number!

Got a call from 716-558-5806 from a man name James for P&B Capitol on "MY" cell phone asking for my ex husband. "James" wouldnt & says couldnt give me no information on this case and wont give me a case number because he is not calling for me and its none of my business. Old rude ass!! So my comment was since this is "MY' cell & hes my ex husband & you dont want to give me no information so I can speak to my ex about this to help ya'll out, lose my damn number & if you call back I will personally come to New York & whip your ass!!! Told him numberous of times not to call my cell & they still do!

Yes these no good rotten scumbag pieces of dog excriment, called me at work, even after repeated requests to not do that.  I asked the one representitive who was decent to send some proof of this debt as i have no knowledge of it and he said he would, he called 3 days later asking when i was going to pay and when i informed him i hadn't recived it he called me a "liar" and a "deadbeat" and when he realised it had only been 3 days he hung up.   the next call was at my work again and the same thing with the name calling and and abusiveness, i just filed a complaint with the FTC and the Texas attorny general's office and the BBB, i know that is like pissing on a wildfire but i feel as it is my only recourse, i wish i could get these fellas' numbers and call them all day and night and thier moms and dads and let them know what [***] hats they are.  The best part is the paperwork they sent is from a creditor i have never heard of, so i wrote them disputing and asking not to call my work or home any longer. Hope they all get in a car wreck riding together on thier way to lunch and probably at some sh*t hole fast food place because they are so awesome, not in any way because people who eat fast food are in any way undesirable, because they are, but these d bags arnt

I also got a call from 888-569-9635 they said there name was kelly mattews and i kept askin what do they want to talk to my mom about and they wouldnt answer they just said they have a very inportant person in there office or somthin like that and to call no later then 5 pm. im glad i looked this up it was kinda weird.

received calls from this number several times a day.  no messages left and I am not sure that they are a legitimate calls to my number.

I actually did not receive any calls from this company, but 'Brad Sutton", from RJA Capital has managed to leave messages about me with just about all my friends and family, not sure how he got their phone numbers, but he did. I called him this morning to find out who he was, and why he was looking for me, the call back number he left is: 607-231-8060...He has got to be the most unprofessional person I have ever came across, screaming at me, threatening me..I explained to him that I honestly had no idea about any of the information he was trying to give me, and to please send me some information by mail, and mentioned my rights under the FDCPA, I think that is what set him off, he proceeded to scream over me, threatening me, not letting me speak at all, and basically told me that the sheriff would be contacting me, and good luck. If "Brad", and "RJA Capital" was legitimate, they would not need to use threats to intimidate people into paying them (which is illegal), and they would have absolutely no problem sending the information by mail (which is required by law under the FDCPA). I am 100% sure that I don't owe any outstanding debt, and I have not written any "bad checks" as he tried to claim. This company needs to be shut down, as they are using illegal practices to try and get money out of people.

We have been called dozens of times in the past 30 days.  It is a recording or nothing.

I have been paying this company, now they trying to get me to double pay. I will be stopping payment to them as of today.

THESE [***] ARE LIARS AND MANIPULATERS.  THEY BUY OLD DEBTS.  THEY ARE SKILLED AT INTIMIDATION.  Don't answer calls with numbers you do not recognize.  If you acknowledge any part of the debt they are attempting to resurrect from the past (debts that have passed the statute of limitations) or pay as little as $10, the entire amount, interest, penalties, legal fees, extortion fees, will begin as a new debt.  Debt collectors should be treated no differently than a thug breaking into your home, threatening your person and possessions.  Know your rights.  If you mistakenly answer a call from them, deny knowing anyone or anything.  They can go to HELL!!!
