They call themselves today "Phase 5 on behalf of BMO Bank of Montreal.

I just hung up.

886 667 9352  called 4 times in 4 days, said they were doing a survey for Service Canada  (arm of Canadian Govt).  I asked for a Service Canada number where I could confirm this - they gave me a 1 800 - I asked if this was a government number, and they said no, but they would know who to call in the Govt.  I told them that I did not want any calls in the future, and if the Govt wanted to talk to me, THEY will need to call.  I managed to waste about 10 mins of his time - I was not busy.

Called twice in two days, luckily i just got caller id so i can decline their call.

If the URL is honest (?), at least they are a "legitimate" survey company. So they could be fielding a telephone survey for anyone who contracts with them. But I'd still never give them (or any unknown caller) enough personal information to fake my identity. I've suspected one or two attempts at that - and hopefully blocked them! If they can get my phone number then they can almost surely figure out where I live, and other demographic information.

They Called 3 times over the last 3 days (dec.19-22/10) they said it was some sort of gov't data survey.. told them i did not want to take part. i guess a polite no doesn't work. Maybe i should start phoning them back 8^)

Called the number back and got elimental data collection.  not sure who the F they are, wish they would go away.

stop calling

This number calls my cell phone 2-3 times every single day 7 days a week for the past 4 weeks. I have answered once and the person hung up. I decline their call every time... but this is beginning to turn into harassment

As much as this is an AWFUL company to work for. In case people were wondering, it IS a legitimate survey company. They don't sell ANYTHING. Companies hire them to ask the questions and a lot of times it will be one bank doing a survey but they ask questions about all of the banks in an area. I did a survey on insurance once and we did have to ask for the insurance card to ask what type of insurance they were signed up for (since it was on the card). We never asked for account numbers or anything like that. I even did surveys for the federal government, mostly just opinion-based questions. As far as the asking for a male, they have quotas for ages as well as genders so when a survey is getting close to finished they may have to only speak with a male aged 24-34 or something that specific.

Also, FYI, to those people on the 'do not call list'. It is for TELEMARKETERS ONLY. You can't believe how many people said they were on the list and how dare I call them. Survey companies do not apply to this list because they aren't selling you anything.

You always have the option not to answer, but if you do want your number removed from the list, simply say so. If you yell or swear or are rude, it's very easy for an employee to 'forget' to check the box that says remove from list. Just a suggestion. It's a sucky job and I can tell you that 99% of the people working there don't want to be calling you as much as you don't want them calling them.

This is true, Vongae does not give out your numbers, they SELL them to telemarketers.

OK, maybe they're legit and have real people working for them.  I'll accept that.  I'm not so sure about the "We can call you because we're not selling you anything" schtick.

Elemental, if you want to stand a snow-ball's chance in hell of my picking up the phone and participating in your survey, use your real company name for Call Display purposes.  "Toll Free Serv" simply will not cut it.
