This is an outsourced (off-shore) call center for a company offering "educational opportunities".  The very idea of a company preying on job seekers and utilizing outsourced labor in foreign countries is a slap in the face to all Americans!

I filled out an online job application from jobs.com(i think somebody mentioned it before) and right after, i started to recieve phone calls. I was always busy in a meeting or so, so i never picked up. worried that it might be somebody i know, calling from a unknown number, i googled the number. and here i am....

3-4 calls a day  for 3 months now will be taking legale action

started gettin calls from this number about 3 weeks ago last time about 5 min ago and decided to serch it glad i reserched it they call me at least 6 times a day

it is a school hunter make it 18667645191 and you will have a tollfree call for someone looking to place you in a school, something you clicked on online to look up school or college info. i tried to call it w/o the one and got an international call so added a one and it made sence

Received my first call and ignored it. I looked it up and it brought me here. I too have recently begun job searching so that seems to be our common link here.  Now I know what I am in for. Yikes!

I got a call from this number again. I agree that companies like this really needs taken care of. Companies are really bad and scams are really bad. I did a google.com on this number and i have found many people complaining it's Career Advisor and possibly from either Jobs.com or Career Builder.com and in my opinion if they are doing this the agreements should be looked over and if found out they have illegally given out our numbers then they should be either fined or shut down and arrested for all the illegal calls we are getting.

I have been getting calls at least 3-5 times a day at all hours from these people.  Again, it began just after I started looking for a job online.  I want these jerks to stop.

Does anybody have contact information for this company other than this phone number? I would like to serve them a certified snail-mail requesting me to be removed from their call list, or at least an email with return receipt. I can't find any information about a "Career Advice" or "Career Advisor" company, probably because the phrase is so common it doesn't work to just Google them.

I also want to make sure everyone knows that you can request to be put on their (company's) Do Not Call list, and they have to comply within 48 hours. Any calls received after that time can be subject to a $500 penalty *per call* paid to you if you sue them in small claims court. If this company purposefully broke the law, the penalty may be up to $1500. I am going to record a conversation next time they call, informing the caller of this.

Got a call from them today but left no message. I called the number and agter four or five rings it was answered by an auto attendant. The recorded message said they were busy and my call would be answered by the first available person.  - Talked to "Anthony" who identified the company as "Career Advisors". Wanted to know if anyone at this number was interested in continuing their education - Told him no, and to please remove my number from his calling list and to add it to their 'Do-Not-Call' list. He said 'sure, no problem'.

As I am allowed, I recorded the call for 'posterity' . . . . I've taken care of my legal obligations, let's see if they take care of theirs. (Being unemployed facing my unemployment running out shortly, I can sure use an extra couple thousand bucks if they're inclined to call again. -- ASLO, they pay for the timed charges on the '866' calls, so if you're bored, call 'em up to see if you think the voice on the answer-recording sounds like 'Anthony' - I do.

Started getting these calls 3 days ago. Haven't been searching for a job at all and don't know how they got my number. Hopefully this isn't one of those international scams where they connect to you then use your minutes? I have an iPhone, does anyone know of a way to "reject" phones calls as with the LG phone?

They did not leave a message. I called the number. Woman
answered, "...Career Advisor. Are you calling to
further your education?"  I said, "No. I am calling to see who this is."
She asked if I recently signed up online looking for a job. I told
her I had just registered with job.com on Sunday, March 7, 2010.
She said I must have checked some option on the site that allowed
them to put my telephone number on their partner call lists and to
go into my account and uncheck the box. I told her that I am not attending
any school anywhere unless the employer pays for the education and
training. No more lifelong student loans for me.
At the end of the email I received is:"Job.com Subscriber Notice

Getting 3 calls a day from these folks and they never leave a message.  I have not called back because I do not want to encourage them.  I wish I could block them on my phone.

They called me just a second ago asking me about some job thing and career education... they said i graduated high school already yet im still in high school.... im on the Do Not Call List also and they seemed to have disobeyed that.

They have been calling me every day for a couple of weeks now at least 3 times a day.  Thought it might have been bill collector but all my bills were paid on time.  I have been doing online job searches too which seems to be the common issue.  I finally just put them on my call reject list on my phone.
