A company left 2 messages on my home answering machine.  Upon returning the call, the representative attempted to obtain information regarding an auto accident in which I was involved.  After, I inquired about the name of the company and the nature of the call, I answered all the health and medical related questions.  He then got into more personal details regarding my insurance company, my vehicle type, was I wearing my seatbelt, the name of the police department that responded to the call, etc.  I advised the rep I was uncomfortable providing that kind of information, especially with the whole 'identity theft' scare going on.  He continued to inquire abt things that i was refusing to answer and I advised him I was terminating the phone call.  I contacted UHC (my insurance company) and apparently they have outsourced to this company to obtain information regarding accidents and the nature of claims.  I informed the VERY VERY rude rep Keisha, of my discomfort providing this information.  She, of course, was unconcerned and didn't care.  I advised her if they wanted this information they should contact the insured parties directly and get it.

This someone calling on behalf of United Healthcare.  I think they said Axium.  They asked specific questions about a medical claim on my insurance.  Presumably to make sure it should be a health insurance claim and not a claim from an auto accident or something.

Since they left a message on my answering machine, I only received half the message.  They did however leave a refernce #.

received automated message said from united health care (useless health care). I called back, the guy that answered did not identify himself or company he could hardly string a sentence together and became really defensive when i asked who he was representing and kept asking questions

I received a phone call from this number after being involved in an auto wreck.  I later learned that the call was an illegal phone solicitation from the Aleem Law Firm.  If you receive a call from this number about a wreck, report it to the attorney bar association:  (404) 527-8700
