- Caller: boost moile
- Call type: Survey
- toriyeah, call it back and it says something regarding your account.
p.s. sprint and boost merged.- Caller: boost?
- eek| 1 replyI have Sprint, however, my friend used my phone to activate his new Boost phone. So thats why i got the call.
- #$%^&Just a couple of thoughts: 1st; if the caller is reputable, they will leave a message. 2nd, those of us who receive calls are not the only people who post about these calls. Sometimes the bad guys post here too saying that this company or that company owns the number and that all is good.
I've read posts on a couple of sites about this number and some of them say that the caller is doing a survey for Boost but needs a PIN #, a C.C. #, a name and an address. Just think, if this were really a survey then they would NOT need any personal info. Other posts say that they were directed to call another phone number then asked for the same personal info. Yet other posts say that callers from this 866-812-4743 number say that "there is a problem with with your service or bill" and then they ask for personal info.
It really looks to me like the people from this 866 number are phishing. Remember people "Safety First!"- Caller: unknown
- boost userThis is a Boost Mobile followup customer survey I received today, after I spoke with Boost customer care representatives yesterday about an issue.
(Boost Mobile is owned by Sprint, so Sprint customers apparently may also receive followup survey calls from this number if they spoke with Sprint customer service.)
I called the number back and it asked me take a six question survey.
Here are the questions:
1) Are you a Boost Mobile customer who recently called Boost customer service?
1=yes, 2=no?
2) How satisfied are you with Boost Mobile customer service based on your recent call?
1=very dissatisfied, 5=very satisfied
3) Did the last representative you spoke with have good listening skills?
1=yes, 2=no
4) Did the last representative you spoke with understand your problem?
1=yes, 2=no
5) Was the last representative you spoke with knowledgeable?
1=yes, 2=no
6) Is this the first time you've called about this issue in the last 45 days?
1=yes, 2=no
7) To confirm, was the issue resolved on the call?
1=yes, 2=no
The survey then allows you time to speak your concerns about your recent customer service experience call, like on an answering machine.
Finally, the survey gives a contact phone number and mailing address information for Boost.- Caller: Boost Mobile

- lolDont you realize that Boost is Sprint and Sprint in Boost. Thats right Sprint owns Boost & Nextel! A long time ago Nextel developed teh walky talky function for their cell phones and it was such a success that Sprunt decided to do the same. Well Nextl sued Sprint for pantent infringment and won a 10 year monopoly over the PTT technology and what did Sprint due? They waited until the 10 year monopoly was over and rather than spend hundreds or millions of dollars to develope and deply the PTT technology they simply bought out Nextel/Boost Mobile!
- tiasmomSprint is Boost and Nextel, and now Virgin Mobile, too.
- Caller: Boost

- BLAH replies to BoostBoost and Sprint same company I got the same call lol
- Annoyed replies to eekSame here, my friend used my phone to activate a Boost and now they keep calling me. Grrrrr!
- BrookeIt IS a legit number from Boost Mobile. IDK why Sprint customers are getting it, but it may be because sprint, nextel, and boost are on the same towers. If you call 866-266-7848 (866-BOOST4U) you can get in touch with customer service and tell them you don't have boost. That's what I did and I havent had anymore calls.
- GregOk people here is probably what is going one here, the number originally is probably just a legit survey for boost/sprint/nextel. But what you have to keep in mind is, that it is not hard to spoof a number and pretend you are working for boost. I can call a friend right now, and make it show up his ex-girlfriends number if I wanted to.
So just be careful as to what info you give these people, use some common sense, if they call you and are really from boost, they should be able to tell you, your registered address, and if it is an account issue, they should be able to tell you the last 4 digits of the card used.- Caller: Boost Mobile
