Collections at Scotia

They never leave a message, but call everyday all day long.

Calls 8-10x a day, says they are scotiabank but it seems weird that scotia would call right away and ask to confirm your info....

They keep calling my phone 5×s a day or more. I answered it once and a lady answered saying it was scotia bank but I highly doubted it so I hung up. I blocked it

continual calls from 866 -819-7382 if they wanted to speak to me .. leave a damn message i'll call back if they Leave a message!! .. Scotia bank Visa - collections dept..  do not owe anything  so annoying!

It is NOT Scotia Bank Collections.  My husband is the only one with a Credit card associated with this banking company and I am not, in any way, associated with that credit card, yet the caller asked for both my husband and myself by name.  One, he does not owe on this card, in fact, they owe him because I make sure his card is free and clear for when he has to leave the country for work related issues.  The bank would never ask to speak with me with respect to my husband's credit card.  The bank would not ask you for personal information over the phone, as they have it infront of them already.  If you do owe money on your credit card, the banking company will call you advising you of this, including the amount owed and that is about it.   Be wise people...do not give out your information over the phone.

I suspect it is a spam call, I did not answer.  Why couldn't the caller leave a voicemail

April 17, 2018.  We received 2 phone calls from 866 819 7382, once on  our cell phone, and once on our land land, with the calls coming between in split seconds of not answering the call.  We did not answer the phones, but did do a internet search, seeing many people claiming it's from Scotia Bank.  I called the Scotia Banks' Call Center, and asked if this number belongs to them,  Their reply was, "NO, This is NOT OUR NUMBER. IF YOU RECEIVE A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, HANG UP ON THEM.     DO  NOT SPEAK TO THEM "   I asked Scotia Bank if they had any more details about the caller, they said no.  So, I don't know what they're scamming, but it's not a safe caller.

I get calls from this number every day; it's usually some person with an accent claiming to be calling on behalf of Scotiabank. I asked him, "Okay, if you are really a Scotiabank employee, tell me my date of birth." He made up some flimsy excuse about not having access to the computer at that moment. Riiiiight...

DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS CALLER! IT'S A SCAMMER!

Got a call. Asking for mortgage payment. (Scotia Bank). As it turns out, when I refinanced my mortgage they didn't have the right account info, so they didn't get my mortgage payment. I was skeptical and didn't give them any information; but I called my financial advisor and it seems to be legitimate collections from Scotia.

For the last few weeks, there is a call every day from this number to our company phone line for someone who is no longer our employee. I have kept telling them this fact and always got the answer of removing our number from their calling list,  but it seems just a fooling answer. Until now, the every day call has never been stopped yet. Hope this spam can be controlled.

They keep calling and pushing for an online credit minimum payment, total scam/ fraud. However they have some true information like my balance in credit card which Scotia Bank should be blamed.

This is a fraud. They call me, I answered the phone, silence, hang up. Immediately I got voicemail to call on 866-819-7382 for personal banking matter. I have all debts under control and no reason for call like that. I blocked the phone number and associated email I am receiving same matter emails from "Scotiabank".
