Got the same call several times daily over the last two weeks or so.  I keep ignoring them for now. Eventually I will let them know to lay off and stop waisting my air time :)

These guys called me twice a day for a week and I finally called them back.  This is a collection agency, chances are if they are calling you probably owe someone money.  Fortunately (or unfortunately) I had filed for bankruptcy many years ago, the person I talked to on the phone looked up my file number and removed me from there system.  It's likely that the calls will continue, having been in this situation before the best approach is to call them, get their mailing address and send them a (certified) letter requesting not to be contacted by phone anymore.

A "Rob Parker" from 866-847-4539 says he is receipt of a file and needs to discuss it with us right away.  His secretary has been trying to reach us. Gave number of 866-816-3801 to call.  I have no bills outstanding and am on the no call list. Message was not clear at all so I will not be calling them back. Send email to all me friends to be aware of this scam.

A 'Tricia Drake' called me today from this number and claimed that they had evidence that I had deliberately tried to cash in a fraudulent cheque and that If I didn't meet to discuss the issue right away, I'd be arrested. I am not a fool and told 'Tricia' that she is wasting her time. She got very angry and threatened to brick my windows if I did not do what she was asking.

Ignore these people. They're very evil.

"Karen or Rob Parker" has been calling me at precisely 0812 every day for the past three days. The first two days they left a blank, 1 minute voicemail. Today, I got the same message as Harry. They didn't say who they were calling for, their company's name, or their client's name.

I'll call them in the morning and tell them the same thing I tell the others: "I do not discuss financial information on the phone because I have no way to verify that you are who you say you are. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, please provide written verification of the debt and cease contact by other than mail."

Yes, I have some outstanding debts due to several months of being unemployed. Y'all will get your money in time, just settle down and be patient else you'll get nothing.

I've been getting calls from this number several times a day for a couple weeks now. The first day I received a call from them they called me once an hour every single hour from 8 AM to 2 PM! They called me twice between 2 and 3 and 3 times between 3 and 4 and never once left a message. Today they have called every single hour within 2 minutes of the time they called the previous hour. I finally answered it and heard nothing. I tried to call back 6 times and was immediately hung up on each time! I finally selected the option to leave a message and told them I would file harassment charges and report them to ic3.gov if they don't stop calling. Then I called again and someone immediately answered and finally let me talk (hmm imagine that). They said they were working for US Bank and threatened me that if I didn't pay my bill I would never be able to open another bank account with any bank anywhere or use checks or a debit card and that they WILL get thier money. I told them to stop calling and if they had something to say they could send me a certified letter and stop contacting me over the phone. They said I'd have to send them a certified letter requesting they stop calling and until then they can and will call all they want. The funny thing is I made a payment to my US Bank account earlier this month and last month and he's trying to say I've never paid anything and that I've ignored all the bank's letters. So, use your better judgment when dealing with these creeps. I hope posting this will help some of you guys out.

These people have been calling me for a few weeks.  Never do they leave the name of the company.  I do believe that by law they have to supply it.  It's very irritating and annoying.  I have a lawyer who has listened to the messages and informed me not to call them back.  I won't.  Good Luck all!!

We received the exact same call several times and I feel sure it is the Obama administration looking for new ways to fund their Non-stimulous stimulous package. "Karen" is actually Nanci Pelosi in disguise and "Rob" is Harry Reid. You can't ignore them - they must be voted out of aoofice - All of them!

I am employed with the Better Business Bureau, and I received a call inquiring info. on this supposed business. There are many red flags and my suggestions to assist you regarding these phone calls is to first register your number on the Do Not Call Registry issued by the Federal Trade Commision (FTC); dial 888-382-1222. Also, you have the option of contacting your State Attorney General's office as well as the FTC; toll free number is 877-382-4357. The young woman that I spoke with also stated that the rep. that she spoke with on the phone was calling on behalf of U.S. Bank; You may also contact them to validate the calls. I hope this helps.

    Thanks,

Received several (read: a dozen) messages from this number, a few per day. Message: "Hi it’s Karen – Rob and I have been trying to reach you to verify information in our file.  But neither one of us has heard back from you yet.   And now, time is running out.  Our client just informed us that they want this reviewed by our attorney – by Friday – so it’s important that you return my call right away – or you can call Rob Parker directly – his number is 1-866-847-4539, 1-866-847-4539.  OK?  We’ll both be in the office all day today." Also received one or two gruff vaguely threatening calls from "Rob Parker" at same number, content along the same lines.
Thought it was fishy that this robocall had no business name and did not use my name. Ignored it. Several weeks later received a debt collection letter from "Jason Bexten" at "D Scott Carruthers, attorneys at law" regarding "Regent Asset Management Solutions." This is an old US Bank debt that was paid over a year ago. The letter claimed that I had defaulted. Contacted the creditor I paid the debt to last year, who informed me that my debt had indeed been cleared, and that they have been getting many complaints about this same thing. I don't like this. Where have they gotten my information from? The one thing least likely to make me call you back are constant harassing phone calls.

The first couple of times I received calls from this number, it was on my private work extension.  I told them that it was inappropriate for them to be calling that number.  They didn't ask for my home number and didn't even try to verify my name.  They just stopped calling.  Now, I have received a call on my cell phone from this number and "Karen" left a voicemail with the exact same message that someone posted from a month ago on this thread.  My assumption, since I work for a financial institution and am trained to be alerted to phishing scams, is that this is in fact an attempt at fraud and/or identity theft.  I am also going to continue to ignore these calls.

First of all I want to make it clear that I have no affiliation with Regent Asset or "Rob and Karen."

However, I do work for an attorney's office whose main focus is the collection of past due debts, and/or filing judgments against those who refuse to satisfy their obligations.  If this number, or a similar number calls you attempting to collect a debt, and you are past due on any accounts, CALL THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR FIRST.  For example, if you call this company back and they're trying to collect on a US Bank account, don't give them any information.  Call US Bank first.  If they have charged off/sold the account, they will let you know and will transfer you to the 3rd party agency they've retained to collect the account.

If you are sure that you have no outstanding debts, and they keep calling, chances are they have a wrong number.  In our office, about 1 out of every 3 files has a wrong number attached to it, whether it be an old number that was recycled or just mistyped.  If the calls do not stop, I would call them and inform them they have a wrong number.

Also, if you are sure that you don't have any outstanding debts and they are calling you, you may have been the victim of identity theft.  I deal with people on a daily basis who have valid debts in our office that they did not originate.  It's best to call them and make sure that it really isn't you that they're looking for.  With the economy the way it is, the identity theft rate is very high right now.  If you've recently obtained a copy of your credit report and there are no accounts showing that you are unaware of, then this is most likely not the case.

    Hope this information helps.

Received same call as harry june 2- they left a voicemail, but it was Karen..exactly the same as Harry's. I believe that this is a scam and people should watch out. Also be aware of some of the posts/comments on this site because the favorable ones were likely posted by someone at that "company" to get people to call.

They have had action taken against them by the Colorado Collection Agency Board...see report at http://www.ago.state.co.us/CADC/CADCmain.cfm.html
    File a complaint there also.

File complaints with the following also....
    1. FTC
    2. State Attorney Generals Office
    3. BBB
    4. Do Not Call List
    5. State Collection Agency Regulatory Board
    6. Your Local Phone Company
    7. Send them a Certified letter with Return Receipt to stop calls
    8. Some areas have a call trace feature built in to the system...try this one...right after they leave their message pick up the phone and listen for a dial tone. Then hit *57 (that's star 57) and see if it will trace the call. This may cost you a buck and requires 3 traces for the phone company to take action.

There are other things to do also but most of all don’t call them back to verify anything! Their first message states that they need to update their files, the second message may say that court action is pending. If they have poor files that need updating how can they take you to court?

Here's a copy of what they look for in new hires for job openings, notice the wording that you will be contacting debtors as a “law office” and not a collection agency! They must be doing this to avoid the State Regulations concerning Collection Agencies and the legal use of the phone?
