Not recognizing the number, I didn't answer.  Now I see it's CIBC Visa; we don't have ANY credit cards.  Hmmmm...

I have had numerous calls from this number after
answering to dead air..I will call my CIBC branch on
Monday to try and follow up with someone I know personally.
Could you confirm that CIBC TOOK money from
your account without authorization?? This truly frightens
me for future automatic deposits.

I've had that happen too from CIBC Visa. If the credit card is from the same bank you have an account with, if it's over the limit they are entitled to take any money to cover the cost you are over by. The took over $600 from me and it left me homeless on my sons first birthday . They don't even tell you they're doing it too

Got my number a few weeks ago. Calls started within minutes after it was connect and wont stop. I don't and never had a credit card with them. Told them they have wrong number but they wont stop!!! First a person, then a recording and now dead air. Unbelievable they are!!!

This number is CIBC's Client Account Management... They indeed call and say nothing then hang up.. Just called the police and they have contacted them. Told them to leave us alone or criminal harassment charges will be laid.

call every day, called today and it was nothing but music playing

Constantly trying to call me.  I put them on block list, and daily I see an attempt in my spam call filter.  I STRONGLY suggest every one put this number on a block list.

pops up on caller ID as CIBC.  I've put them on block list but they call every day between 9:30am and 9:50am EST and then again in the evening around 6:20pm.  I called Rogers and they said they can't do anything about it.

they my cell 10 times a day , i do not recognise the number , i have heard if you answer a 800 number on your cell that they can steal your contacts and other info off your cell

it is CIBC account management... it is 100% legit. I spoke with CARDEL regarding my mortgage, which is in arrears. i spoke with him, made payment arrangements, and they are not assigning my mortgage to a legal rep. until the end of the month, at the EARLIEST.
was actually a very positive conversation and, if i hadn't discussed this with them, they may have gone forward with proceedings that would ultimately force me into bankruptcy.
just some advice... answer the call. if you don't trust them, look up the number, and call them back, or call the number on the back of the card and ask them to transfer you to account management. it's not false.
i'm only sharing this because the guy was actually very understanding of my current financial situation and was willing to have a discussion about potentially correcting the problem. helpful, not harmful.

Well I got a call from this number saying it was CIBC and I am with RBC but I'm gonna call CIBC and ask to speak to a representative or transferred to account resident. But we live on an isolated reserve away from banks and all that. You either fly in or boat. So we always get scams or false vendettas

I got a call from this number at 08:59 Pacific today (Saturday). It was CIBC. They cited the last-4 digits of my line-of-credit account, and correctly said that it was tied to my mortgage. They said I missed the minimum payment of $34.56, which was due on the 1st (24 days ago).

P.S. An earlier posting, above, claimed that answering a 1-800 number can "steal" your personal information from your mobile phone.  I strongly disagree with that claim -- a 1-800 number is no different from any other number that may call you.
