It's a student debt scam call, don't talk to them.

Student Loan Scam; one person calls with a vague message about payment options on student loans. You call back and the initial person isn't available, the new person asks for your date of birth. Then I asked where did you get my name?. The 2nd person then hangs up on you.

This # has been calling both my cell and home numbers for months. I have never answered as the person does not identify the company or with whom they're employed. I knew it had to be BS. All she says is exactly what the post above me states. Some new options for paying back 'my' student loan. I don't have one to begin with..

It's a student debt scam call, but with a new trick. They never called on my phone - I've checked the call log and there was no such phone number! The message went directly to voicemail.  This means that they called directly to at&t voicemail and then re-route the message to mailbox. Pretty clever tactics that hides them from call tracers.
Then it's a standard phishing attempt to collect your info - name, address, SSN and so on...
