Says they are a debt collector - Americollect - she is available by phone or web chat. Says that if this is  the wrong person to also call and let her know - but she didn't ask for a person, so I don't know who they are trying to contact. Number she calls from is a local number, but she says to call this toll free number back.

Same info I got via voicemail. Too odd message was left in a way to make the message system appear to have cut off the name of both the person calling and the person they were trying to reach

Got a message saying they are attempting to collect a debt.  Same info as original complaint above.  I called from my work number and they answered.  Kept asking me what number was associated to the call.  Didn't want to provide that as I don't trust this.

We get the same every day at work.  Heidi from Americollect.  Looks like it's coming from a nearby town on Caller ID, but recorded message says to press 9 to speak with her.  Claims to be trying to collect on a debt... any info obtained will be used for that purpose... we could have the wrong number, or we could need to talk to you.  Says to call 866-862-8289 or visit americollectpaid dotcom.  Total phishing, but I can't figure out how to block the call.

Same been harrassing for years.wont say what company owed.  I called around got name company owed they said I don't owe card cancelled lack of use.  They won't stop. BBB said scam.

They used to call asking for another person.  Since I told them wrong person they don't give a name. More suspicious.  They send mail notices too.  I keep as proof if someone finally goes after them.

No name given as to whom they want to reach.. This is clearly phishing. Using a voip number to mask their identity on the phone.No way in hell am I going to call and will also report to Wisconsin Attorney General.

Always a different area code calling but always says to call back 866-862-8289 and reach them about your debt. Never heard of American collect before but they call everyday but never specifically ask for a person or any information about whom they are trying to contact.
