I got a text supposedly from Verizon about someone trying to add a phone at this address BUT when I called it, they tried to sell me a new "medical device" to put on to make me feel better after a fall.  I checked with Verizon and they didn't send the text message.

I keep getting texts from Verizon stating another party ordered service at my address. Verizon says they didn’t send the text. Scam

I got 3 emails supposedly from Verizon saying they had a request for  a new service at my residence, with the phone number 866-896-6837, I seen this site which let me know it was a scam.

I got this SAME thing as a text. It came in the same thread as other Verizon texts, that I know to be valid. weird.  I called Verizon to find out about what it was all about. They had no record of the "new service" request. but when i looked up the number is used to actually be a verizon number for moving a service [https://www.verizon.com/about/news/press-rele ... -movers-service]  I am glad I checked with Verizon first. won't be calling to get any medical devices! LOL
