Today at about noontime I also received the same Scam call – a computerized voice informing me that this is the final notice regarding a recall notice on my car… Hmmm I have a Truck and a Harley, NOT a car, so I pressed One to speak to a person. A male person came on the phone asking me for the Year, Make and model of my CAR, I replied; “you tell me what car it is, don’t you know? Your dam records should state this”. The person then hung up.

The number they called from is:  626-207-9175
I did a reverse phone number lookup using http://www.whitepages.com/reverse-lookup, and found the following information:

Provider: Digitcom Services
Location: Pasadena, CA

Note: “Digitcom Services, Inc.” is a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) provider, like Skype and the newer Google voice.  I thought Digitcom Services maybe creating this scam or at least allowing this scam to promote it’s VoIP services witch it offers throughout CA, NV, and AZ.

I then called Digitcom Services.

I spoke with Jeff, I asked him to provide me with account holder using the number 626-207-9175. Jeff said I will need a court subpoena, I asked him where do I need to deliver the subpoena, and he informed me that there address is NOT on Venice Blvd as their website states, and gives me this address:
5280 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90022.

I see on Google Maps a Pawn Shop, H&R Block Tax place, Check Cashing, and The UPS Store Hmm no high tech looking company around 5280 Beverly Blvd.

I then checked the sites “WHOIS” information for “digitcom.net” at http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/digitcom.net
And found the following:

Note:  Digitcom Services has provided ICANN illicit WHOIS information, and is using a proxy domain, and is therefore an illegitimate company that hiding its true identity. A real company would not have anything to hide.


I then found that “Domains by Proxy” is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and all civil subpoenas should be served at that location or mailed to:

Conclusion:
If several people called the Scottsdale police department and complained, then perhaps they will issue a subpoena to “Domains by Proxy” and get a physical address for “Digitcom Services, Inc.”, and then the Los Angeles police can start there investigation into seeing what “Digitcom Services” is really doing and to issue them a subpoena. FYI keep in mind a lot of drugs travel from the Los Angeles area to the Phoenix area daily, so phone scams may not be the only thing going on.

Received a pink postcard that says 'Urgent Warranty Notice.'

I have also recieved 800 and 888 calls from, I think, this
same company: Vehicle Services Inc.

Perhaps if everybody called Steve Chapa on his cell phone, 1-314-583-9274 and interrupted his (real Estate) business, like he has interrupted our business, he might Cease and Desist. Just a thought.

This was the best deal around when I was looking.  So I bought it, then I sold my car and canceled it a couple of years later.  I have been waiting for a refund since...is this a joke?!  What can I do now?

This company called me today from the 818-663-9473 concerning credit card interest.  When I called the number back, I received a recording that was not clear.  How do I stop this caller?????
