These azzholes won't stop calling even if you ask them to do so, they probably stop for a couple of weeks and back again annoying you every single day, this what you have to do, so they can drink their own soup, when you have some time to waste, (I know must of you don't) Call them several times and don't speak, let their answering machine go all the way and finally you'll get some person on the phone, star hitting the # key repeatedly and stop until they hung on, do this as much as you can for some 15 to 20 minutes, then do the last call, this is the must fun, when they answer and you star speaking in an unknown language like chinese or so they will star saying,"I'm sorry sir/madam what do you say" "what language do you speak" and you continue in your unknow language until they finish the call. They will take some of their own  stuff and take your # off the list.

I have no debt issues.  My cell number is just one on file handed down to different agencies.  I get calls then it stops for months then starts up usually a different company.  I just click decline.  Moving right along. I eventually answer or call back.  I explain what state I'm in & if they had a clue where the individual lives they could search down under public county appraiser websites if the individual owns property.  Get the address & go from there.  Their time.  I can play on the phone right with them.   I figure ppl need a job.  The next step up from a telemarketer. Lol.

Nonstop hang up calls from this number. Calls and hangs up, no messages left OR calls and doesn’t say anything no answer.

Can’t block number, recording says that number can’t be blocked so it must be a debt collection company OR the owner is calling through a computer – the number in display is not the same # calling.

Filing a police report next. No reason to call several times a day.

Phishing company pretending to be a debt collection agency.  If you go to the midland credit management website and look in their faq in the section about the phone numbers they call from, this number is not listed. Do not answer this call.  Block the number.  And definitely do not give out any personal information.

that is very accurate deacription. My debt and case was by a court-order declared dissmissed with prejudice (means:  not returning ) , but these bottom feeders found the dwbt and begun calling- what you beed to know that you can sue them in cases of incorrect collection under FDCPA - Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. Your attorney's time- /fees and all calls they made, and a maximum of 1000 dollars in cash for you can be climed against them. If enough people put them in rigjt place they will go out of business- vultures !

I don't have debt. This is truly annoying. I've started answering and hanging up just so my phone will stop ringing.

This link has good info to get Midland Vultures off your back. http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Midland-Credit-Management/San-Diego-California-92123/Midland-Credit-Management-aka-MCM-Debt-validation-request-LETTER-I-SENT-to-MCM-with-AWESO-1137377

I am writing to in response to a letter I received dated 02-07-2014 demanding payment from me for a debt I do not believe I owe. To date, you are the fourth debt collector that has contacted me regarding this debt, which, incidentally, I have no knowledge of.  Therefore, in accordance with my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act , Section 809(b), I am formally requesting that you provide me with the following:

                    1. Proof that I owe this debt,

                   2. Proof that you own this debt,

                   3. Proof that you are licensed and attempting to collect this debt legally,

                   4. Proof that the amount you are asking for is the amount that I actually owe,

                   5. and proof of the last payment made on this account.

I am asserting my rights under the federal and state Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including these rights:

    • Because I have disputed this debt in writing within 30 days of receipt of your initial notice, you must obtain verification of the debt or a copy of the judgment against me and mail these items to me at your expense.

    • You cannot add interest or fees except those allowed by the original contract or state law.

    • Any attempt to collect this debt without validating it violates the FDCPA.

Also be advised that I am aware of the recent government actions and subsequent ruling against your company for violations of the law regarding debt collections, attempting to collect debts from the wrong people  and the filing of false affidavits in court. I am aware that the judgment against you requires you to, before any collection attempt is made, to investigate the matter and, if you cannot substantiate the debt, close the account and correct any adverse credit reporting. Be advised that I am keeping accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company, including recording all phone calls, and I will not hesitate to report violations of the law to my State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau.

I have disputed this debt. Therefore, until it is validated, your information concerning this debt is assumed to be inaccurate. Accordingly, if you have already reported this debt to any credit-reporting agency (CRA) or Credit Bureau (CB), then you must immediately inform them of my dispute with this debt.

Reporting information that you know to be inaccurate or failing to report information correctly violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act § 1681s-2. Should you pursue a judgment without validating this debt, I will inform the judge and request that the case be dismissed based on your failure to comply with the FDCPA.

Finally, if you do not own this debt, I demand that you immediately send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor so they are also aware that I dispute the debt.

    Siincerely,
