I recieved a phone call of a 2005 alleged debt owed to this company; I inquired as to why 5 years to contact. I have contacted my attorney.

This is a collection agency who keeps calling using different names in the form of "The law offices of...". In my case they have the wrong Smith but keep calling. They claim each month that this was the first time they ever called and that they are removing my number from their records and yet they call back the next month claiming to be the law offices of some new name - same number. They call at all hours and on holidays. There is not much you can do because they have no scruples - or brains. In my case they are looking for some guy with the same last name and even though I am not the person they waste their time every month calling with the same fake story. Even though they are wrong they still are incredibly rude to me also and want my personal information they claim they have.

I received a call today from 866-964-8194.  This is what the caller said:

"The following message is intended for ________ _________.  My name is Tiffany Wade.  I need either yourself or your obtained Attorney to return this call immediately to my firm.  My number here is 866-964-8194 and my ext. is 702.  Again due to the severity of this matter, it would be in your best interest to return this call immediately today."

Sounds like she's reading from a script and saying things in a threatening manner.  I took this as a threat and will be seeking legal advice.

I rev'd the same call as above, but the weird thing is she called on my wife's cell phone.  We have only been together for 3 yrs and we have never taken out a loan.  I have never used her cell number for anything.  I will be contacting the appropriate authorities about the harrassement she and I are getting.

I got a  call at my job from some  women , I asked her if I  could call her back on my cell phone ,she said they were sending some papers on me to go to jail for a pay day loan ,  I asked her again if I could call her back they monitor our  phone  calls at work , she  said Iwas going to jail , at that point I hung up on her . Some funny voice women called back asking for my address on my job. I gave her Mr. Click as well.

Same call.  They called at work and left message.  Said she was Mellissa Hunt.  Please call my lawfirm at (866)964-8194 ext 709

They called me today using the name "law firm of Casey Maguire"... I was very unsure who these people are, they said I had an unpaid debt from a payday loan company called "ASAP" from May 2006! I got my Lawyer working on this case.
They called me a few months ago and I spoked to a woman by the name of Malissa Hunt I asked her for some paper work on this account and the amount due and haven't heard back from them until today, with the threat of taking me to court... After reading all these complaints about this company I feal a little relieved, because the phone call from them today wasn't very good! They said they were filing a complaint for a bad check and stolen funds with the county court... SCUM BAG'S!!!

I got a call from 8669648194,A guy named kurk wagner said he was calling
concerning stolen Platnam E funds disposed in my checking account,and asked
if I was planng on taking care of the matter,I just hung up on him.He also
said to call him at 877-658-6929,ext 718,which seemed weird. I called the number back to find out if this is a collection agency,I asked the person
who ansered the phone if this was a collection agency,and she would't give me
a strait ansear.

Thanks for the wonderful reminders guys; I've gotten a few phone calls from them and my policy is, more so now b/c of all the scams, no voice mail, no call back, if I do answer the phone and no one gives me info but demands I do first, I tell them to put it in writing. I also work for attorneys and thse guys who try and collect money from you are scum and scam...I also advise my friend at FBI will be happy to investigate their legit business dealings - they either hang up or curse at me

I need any help I can get. I am in the military and received numerous phone calls regarding debts I owe. It started out as one debt and after paying it off (stupid on my part) it went to three, four and now ten!! Of course I wasn’t aware of any debt that I had but I figured it was my ex husband who screwed me while I was deployed. They threatened my career which is not something I need with the military. SO I paid what they asked.  I am still trying to recover some money that I had given them but am having a lot of trouble since the funds that went into their account seem to have miraculously disappeared. Please help me in what I should do as to recovering my money. I don’t have much (especially now) and want to be able to finally give my kids a great Christmas since I have been gone the past 2 years. As of now, I have filed a police report against them and contacted my Judge Advocate Generals Office. Any other simpler suggestions?

Just got a call from this number and like many of you before me, they said to have an attorney contact them. They gave me a totally different call back number then the number that came up on my caller ID and what I found funny was that the man said, "my number is gonna be...." and gave me a number and said, "my extension is gonna be..." and gave me an extension. Made it sound extra fishy to me.

I just filed an online complaint with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation. Hopefully Sean who does not tell me what company he is calling from, or what company he represents, will stop calling.

i got a call from the same number and they said that i own for a payday loan that i have got in 2004
and i didnt have any of my recept to prove that i paid this loan off.and this man name is marsher
walker when i told him that i paid this loan he got very upset and said that i old $400.00
are he will see me in court i got about 20 calls on my phone iam so sick my blood is up and iam
so upset i cant sleep at night, i cant work from thinking about this man...he called my job about 8 times
iam afraid that iam going to loose my job..who is these folks.

These people are a F***ing SCAM.  They call me saying that I owe a merchant money from 2006 and threaten to contact my job and get me fired, etc etc.  So I call and pay a MICHELE MIDDLETON @ 1-877-658-6929 x213 and she takes the first payment out of my checking acct.  I check today on 6/9 and there was an unauthorized payment taken out on the 7th of this month with a dummy check number.  I called her to see what was going on and why would she go into my acct without authorization and now all of a sudden she has this assistant named Dawn.  Dawn tells me that she is in a meeting so I ask to speak to a supervisor named Mr. Lomax.  He tells me he will get together with Michele and give me a call after lunch and he tells me that she is out of the office.  Well it is 3:00pm and I havent heard anything from anyone.  So I call back and speak with Mr. Lomax and receive Dawn instead who tells me that Michele is still in a meeting, she transferrs me to Mr. Lomax who tells me Michele's child is sick and she is not in the office.  What bull!!!!!!!!!  Dawn, a person who I never spoke to says that she spoke to me today and that I authorized the payment and I never spoke to her not one time ever during all these back and forth phone calls.  So I completely lose it and goes off and Mr. Lomax makes it seem as if I am not entitiled to be upset, knowing that if this was being done to him he would have been in a rage also.  So, after he was rude and Dawn was rude I continued to call back and get hung up on until I spoke to the manager over Mr. Lomax, once I asked for her now he wants to be nice and says "I was only trying to help".  Long story short, the manager claims that my last payment will be coming out of the caller "Michele Middleton's" paycheck.  I highly doubt it but it sounded good for the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have contacted an attorney, and if I dont receive a letter showing paid in full....I dont care how BIG OR SMALL my settlement is, if I dont receive some type of clarification in the next few minutes I am SUEING!!!!!!!!!!  DO NOT EVER ANSWER CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY DO NOT CARE AND ARE NOT TRYING TO HELP YOU.  I RATHER HAVE THE DEBT PUT ON MY CREDIT REPORT THAN PAY SOMEONE OVER THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
