They seem to call repeatedly (more than 10X per week). I've called them back a few times and they seem to do nothing when I tell them they've got the wrong name. Is there anyway to get them to stop calling?

I have received a recorded msg from the above number every work day(5X a week)
for the past 5 months. Generally in the AM between 0900hrs and 1000hrs.

Any have an idea what this is all about? I am totally unfamiliar with this number

When I switched to a new cell number I started getting a bunch of these calls at least once a day.
I get the same message as everyone else on my voicemail ..."not a solicitation call, we've left several messages etc"
I stopped picking up the calls because as soon as I picked up they hung up. When I called them back no one answered.
Now they call every 2 days which isn't really a problem for me as I've added their number as a contact on my phone and set it so that it doesn't ring or vibrate when they call.
About 2 weeks ago (5 months since the calls started), they've started calling me from 2 diff numbers 18002568964 and 18667139449 also every 2 days.
Don't know how to deal with this stupid company, can't contact them and they're trying to call some person named Daniel Steed?

I do not take threats very well. So use the mail not MY phone Thank You.

Im am not sure as to why I am receiving calls for 2 different women when we are a company. They wont tell me who they collect for and why they will not take our name off the calling list. Makes me so angry.

Automated call from The Credit Bureau of Canada Collections. They alleged I owe Yak money from 2011, though I had already filed a police report. Someone used my name and address and opened an account on Yak and Yak didn't think to send me a letter by mail to even validate this alleged bogus debt. No proof whatsoever and hired this collection agency to make me pay for something I never used.

If you are a victim, know your rights, collection agencies are not, by law, allowed to contact you at work or at certain hours. Look it up from the RCMP site. They don't even have my SIN so the police told me this is a laughable case, NEVER pay a debt that's not yours, and don't let them intimidate you. Worse comes to worst, they take you to small claims, the cops told me they have NO case with just a name, address and phone number which you can pull out of a phone book or 411 or facebook! Never pay any stranger that calls you out of nowhere and alleges you owe them money!

Called - answered - and get automated voice stating "all our representatives are busy..." - hung up.

They call me and put me on hold? Seems more like a phone charging scheme than anything else. Nothing about overdue loans or bills - at least three time in three months.

I get a call from this number once in a while ans sometimes 3 or 4 times in one day. I let it go to voicemail but there's never a message. I refuse to answer and confirm my acknowledgement of their attempts. If they won't ID themselves then they will never get to talk to me

I JUST GOT PHONE CALL FROM THAT NUMBER 1-866-965-5731. SOME FREAK CALL ME AND LEFT ME MUSIC ON MY ANSWER MACHINE SOO I BLOCK THE NUMBER AND I TOLD THEM IT S GONNA TAKE 20 YEARS TO CALL MY NUMBER AND THEY WON T GET THE ANSER.

I did'nt pick up the phone

I get this call two or three times a week but let it go to voice mail - and just get the tail end of the message - with their phone number and their office hours. If I see a number in call ID and I don't recognize it I don't pick up. Probably should block this call.

This number always calls my phone everytime when they never leave a message on the answering machine

These guys keep calling for the wrong person. I keep calling them to leave them messages that they need to update their files. I'm beyond annoyed.  How did they get my phone number? How come they don't check to see if the phone number that they are ringing is for the intended person?

How do I file an official complaint about this?    They are calling the wrong phone number!

This is getting annoying.  They call me everyday on my work cell.  Today I decided to pick up the call. No one was speaking so I hung up.  It was showing a call from the United States.  Can this number be blocked or cancelled...

call and no voicemail left. no idea who it is

I don't owe anybody any money yet this company has my name and a private number I never disclose to any one. Just left them a profanity filled message after countless phone messages.

Every province has rules that collection agencies must follow.  Check with your provincial government.  If you are receiving calls and they have the wrong number they must stop if you ask.  If you owe money, NEVER acknowledge you owe money.  Ask them to sue you.  They have to stop calling and take you to court. Most provinces have a two year time limit to sue but the clock can restart from the last time you admit to the debt.
