Actually not true. Someone used my info after my purse was stolen. Took less than 48 hours and my bank was waiting for my DL to be reissued to close my accts. So no, not EVERYONE is an idiot as you state.

this company did not call me they just took out 34.95 out of my account.
so I called them and they said they would return the money. we will see

Unlike many of you, I never received the small deposits before getting hit for $35. I haven't applied for a payday loan in 2 years, but my information has been passed around online since then which has been really annoying. Anyways, I just called my bank and they returned the money and blocked any future transactions from them. I suggest you do the same.

Seems that a company using telephone number 866-978-7646 may be sending out multiple ACH Pre-Notes (account number checkers) to various financial institutions using a broad range of account numbers and if they get lucky and find a live account proceed to debit that account hoping the account owner won't notice any transactions right away.  

Protect yourself by keeping a close eye on your account, make sure to review all transactions on a regular basis and if you see any transaction you find questionable take it up with your financial institution.

I didn't receive any calls or deposits.....just noticed a charge on my acct. on Dec. 28th of 34.95 because I supposedly applied for a loan on Dec. 13th.....who takes that long to approve or disapprove a loan?  They are supposedly refunding the charge but it takes 4 to 7 business days to go through.  I called my bank & they said that accounting said it was a valid company because they submitted paperwork to verify my acct info....which I didn't give to these people in the first place!!!!  There's gotta be something that can be done about this.

Did you get your money refunded? I have the same problem. that company (i dont know the name I just called the phone number i found on my checking account transaction) they told me I applied for a loan last week. I havent even been online much less put my information (my personal checking information!!) online. They would not give me a company name or address or let me speak to a manager or supervisor. I argued with them and they said they would refund also and would take 4-7 business days. I also asked them to remove any and all of the information they had about me. My bank wants me to fill out a dispute form or such thing which I will then have to notarize and send back to them so they can dispute it. Which will take them up to 45 days. I do not understand this. I never applied for anything online nothing! uugghh so frustrating. I also had some loan place last year (which i think was the same place) take $50 from my debit card. which my bank refunded, cancelled my debit card, and sent me a new one asap. But how did they get my account info??? that is my question and how do i stop it. the bank said that i have to wait to see what they find and if it is a fraud i will have to cancel my checking account and apply for a new one. meanwhile im just going to have to wait. did you ever get your money back from that company?

Yep $34.95 out.  This is a scam.  The best way to stop this is to close your account and get a new account number, problem solved.  The bank will jerk around trying to not work too hard for you the customer.
