I’m an Allstate customer and the thought that Allstate is possibly giving my information out to some random 3rd party company ( when I never authorized my private information being given out!) really upsets me.

I don’t care if it’s for so-called verification or some other BS purpose. I’m mad. This should not be happening.

I received a phone call from 'Victoria' who said she was calling from Allstate concerning a letter sent to our son regarding his auto insurance.  Trying to confirm who and why, when I said auto insurance, she kept saying she was calling from Allstate concerning a letter. Finally, I specifically asked: "You are calling from Allstate regarding a letter sent to (son's name) regarding his auto insurance" and she replied in the affirmative. I told her she needed to resend the letter and we would contact them about the matter, but she stated she couldn't resend the letter, eventually admitting she wasn't an insurance agent and didn't have access to resend the letter.

Allstate would never call you and request your policy number. They already have it. The only person that would contact you is your agent by MAIL or EMAIL and only if you reach out to them for a claim or adjustment to your coverage. This is verified by Allstate Corporate. This number 866-997-2398 needs your info to contact someone they have working the network or access to it: once they input this policy number they have all your P.I.I. which is critical to your safety. If they call you again forward the time and number to your agent. They will send it up to legal at Corporate who uses Fed Gov to make fines and arrests. Now you know.

Called at 8pm say they were from Allstate.  I was just at Allstate today and they said nothing regarding needing info.  There was no caller ID and told them to never call again.  Fat chance.

Someone called my dad pretending do be from allstate to get my phone number. Scam likely.
