got a call from this number just a recording asking if I know this person and press 1-5 if I know , If I can bring her to the phone, If I  can take a message for her or I dont know this person.

Leaves message to contact,no name of firm calling,assumed to be a bottom feeder debt collector using a cell phone to avoid identity. Bottom feeders buy old debts at pennies on the dollar then try to sucker you into paying them full amount of debt owed or make a settlement. They never identify who they represent or lie about being an attorney assigned the debt. Statute of limitations may apply so never answer or statute of limitations starts all over again. It's a bogus industry of firms former creditors sell to for peanuts to get the matter off their books knowing full well the majority of people who have a financial collapse due to lost job,etc.,can never pay off their years ago past. Most unfortunate for all parties concerned but that's life. People often lose their [***] just like creditors do when unforseen disasters strike.

Someone from 866-999-6460 keeps calling here and does not leave a message. I have placed my phone number on the do not call list over 30 days ago so they should start to wise up. Best advice to follow is just ignore them and do not answer their calls. Last call to my number was at 1205PM 26 Sept 2011.

It is Argon Debt Collection Agency. They actually left a message this time about trying to collect. I don't owe and I'm not calling back.

yep, they left a message for me and when it got to the extension i was supposta dial, their message
ended abruptly.
my credit is perfect....it had to be in order to get employment in the "credit industry" back before when i "was retired"
fyi, these agencies hire minimum wage people to dial 411 for ANY similar name listed in the last known city and they wart you until you can convince them you arent the deadbeat they are seeking;
been there done that.
nowadaze, they seem to hire deadbeats to collect from deadbeats...i spose it kinda like the cops who deny it takes a thief to catcha thief.

Just got a call from them, Argon Debt collection agency, they were looking for someone else, I called the number back and a very nice woman said she would take care of it and remove my number.

once the statute of limitations has passed it will not matter if one answers the call to inform the company of this. the only time the clock will reset is if the statute of limitations has not passed and one answers the phone and engages the caller. if the statute of limitations has passed then answering the call and informing the company that their is no legal recourse on their behalf to collect the debt, the calls will stop.

Used to call and let them know I wasn't the one they were looking for.  With 300+ million people in the US, a few of us have the same name.  I gave up on that after it getting at least 5 assurances on different occasions that they would not bother me again.  Now I have them in my phone contacts and assigned them "Crickets" for a ring tone so I know not to answer.  If they leave a message, I just delete it without listening.  I don't know how they stay in business.

Just received another call from this number. Left no name of company or name of person that I need to speak to. I have their number blocked on my phone now because I have no idea what they want and they are consistantly calling me during work hours on mycell phone. The DO NOT CALL registry is a crock becuase my number is on there and they still manage to get thru to call and harrass me.

I got a call from this number and ask me to call back because of debt collector.  When I called back, they ask me if I am Mr C, which I am not.  Then they said sorry and will remove me from calling list. B

This dumb man calls multiple times per day.  Annoying! Stays quiet or will ask for anonymous names. He hangs up on you if you give him attitude. When I call back, it asks you for a ten digit account number.

This is so NOT a number. They didn't even leave a message. What's funny about these debt collection agencies calling is that when they do leave a message about collecting a debt, they never identify the person's name whom they're trying to collect a debt from. They call from another part of state wher the debtor did not acquire the debt from.

Didn't leave no message. I keep getting calls about debt collection, but none of these accounts belong to me, and everytime I get a message, the person at the other end never discloses the company he or she is calling from nor ask for the person he or she is trying to reach. Truly annoying.

sigh, another call from another Odumbo clone, no message left, I told BO not to hire these guys but he never ever listens to any advice, says he always knows best, sigh
