Since I started keeping record on Nov 2, 2010 I have received 68 calls from this number. The 68th call on Jan 19, 2011 finally left a voicemail on my cell phone asking for someone who did not live at my home, nor did I know.
I called back, they asked if I knew Maria (can't remember last name) and I replied "no". They then asked if I lived in unit such and such and I told them I lived in a single family home.
The man I talked to said they would remove my number. For two days now I have not had any calls from them.
Bay Area Credit buys timed out debts (past statute of limitations) that the originating company cannot or will not make an attempt to collect on. Bay Area Credit, owned by a company in India, with it's call center in India, will then try to collect on those minimal past due debts, plus late fees and interest.

Looks like the number or the company has changed.

They have been calling me at least 6 times a day. So I decided to call back and reached a line that said :

You have reached "Associated Community Services". A company that works with a number of charitable organizations. So I figured that this is a call for a donation.

Despite of being on the Do not call list, they keep calling.

i've been getting these calls also, beware, there is a huge scam going on protraying themselves as credit or legal services. ignore all calls do not give them any information

phone calls from 877-230-9773, but nobody answers.

"This is a call for Andre Cramer, if you are not Andre Cramer please hang up, if you are Andre Cramer please call 1 877 230 9773"  This ia a recorded message.  This has gone on for months.  I called and spoke with George Jefferson (?) who said these calls will stop.  I will believe it when it does stop.  This has been going on for 3 months now.

First of all Brittany Hudson! I guess it's kinda odd everyone On this site had virtually the identical experiences with this blatantly obvious fraudulent company. I really like how you made payment to satisfy this balance once they were nice enough to reduce the full amount you supposedly owed stressing you" paid using your credit card " eluding it was so easy and justifiable as the information they provided was sufficient enough for you to provide payment over the phone and the problem was actially with it still being on your credit. I would just like to point how clearly fake this post is and how it should not entice anyone to give this company anything other than to be reported and exposed. Nice try though, e for effort! Clearly a planted testimony from no than the scam artist themselves!

I got a call on my cell from this number. I usually don't give out my cell #. I am also on the DO NOT CALL list for both my numbers. AT&T always calls my landline if they need to talk to me. So who is this????????????

I have been getting calls from this number every couple of days for a week now.  Each time I answer it there is no response.  I am really sick of this number calling me.
