They call me everyday to at 8in the morning.   What I did todayi shave all the numbers blocked from my phone

This number has called twice today within minutes of each other, no message , no answer , very annoying

They call and creepy they do not say anything, and i am like: hello?.... Hello?..... Are you there?... Hello?... who is this?.... What do you want?.... Why are you calling without answering?... Hello?.... are you playing mind games with me? hello....

Calls multiple times thank God for this site I no now not to answer it, but gets annoying them keep calling all the time.

Called while I was gone and left a message saying to call about my acct.  they didn't say who they were or who they were trying to reach for I did a search and it brought me here. I have NEVER had an acct with Verizon.

This phone number calls me at least once a day everyday at different times. When I pick up there is no sound coming from the other side. I ended up adding it to my reject list

I would like to know who is calling me  an not leaving message on machine calls 4 or 5 times or more

number calls repeatedly   very often  go to voice mail  but no message in voice mail   this need to stop      is this a form of stalking?

I have Verizon and when this individual asked for a "Check, Credit or Debit card payment over the phone to settle the debt" right away I said that I don't have a balance.  The lady said it was for an "unpaid activation fee" and I informed her that all my activation fees were waved.  She started talking and then immediately hung up.  I called Verizon right away and they informed me that my account is 100% up to date on payments and this was a "phishing" phone call.  I reported to Verizon Fraud and the phone number has been blocked from my phone.  RECOMMEND that you ignore these calls and block the number.  

I just received the first call from this number yesterday - an hour AFTER paying my last (and final) bill from Verizon after canceling my service...And I received another call from them today.

Both times I refused to answer this number as to me, it was unknown and I figured if it's important, they'll leave a voicemail right?
Well this number did not leave any voicemails and after today I got curious and decided to Google the number.
Thus led me to this site.

I looked through several pages and saw that some people are saying this is a real Verizon collection agency.

IT IS NOT. DO NOT PAY THESE GUYS ANYTHING. DON'T EVEN ANSWER THE CALL.

Just to make sure, I called in to Verizon Customer Support (the number on the bill you receive in the mail) and explained the situation. I asked if I had an outstanding balance, and the wonderful lady said no, and that I had a zero balance.
I went on to ask about the number "877-272-9986"...To which she immediately said that the number is NOT A VERIZON COLLECTION AGENCY NUMBER, and IS A SCAM.

*** I'm putting the call type as "unknown" because it's a scam, not a collection agency, not anything. Only a scam.
Give Verizon's customer support number (on your bill) a call if you have questions about your balance.

I just got a call from this number. They said they were trying to get in touch with the account holder which happens to be my husband. I said I am authorized to speak on the account and he did this fake "looking up my name" to see if I'm authorized to speak on this account. Verizon asks for a pin, he did not AND I gave him a fake name. He seemed happy to speak with me after "checking to see if I was an authorized speaker". He then went on to say we need to pay our delinquent balance of over $700. I said, I don't owe Verizon anything, I'm looking at my bill right now and it's not even due for 3 days!
He said, well you are not authorized to speak on this account all of a sudden. I told him, look, just so you know, you're a scam, I know you're a scam and don't ever call my number again. Doubt that will work but we will see!

DON'T listen to these scam artists!

Phone calls twice a day. At first they said they were Verizon, now Sallie Mae. Fake caller group trying to get money from people. Here is a number to block these kind calls and also to file a report: 1 888-382-1222.
