This is a call from a collection agency, DCM services.  They call for people who are not here, literally--people who are deceased.  They call individuals directly, whom they know have attorneys regarding the estate...which is a no-no.  Do NOT get scammed into thinking you personally need to pay a debt for a dead person.

Called and left messg about a (distant) deceased family member. I have no reason to be involved in thier affairs. If they are trying to collect a debt, this is pretty distasteful.

Received a phone call from this company saying a deceased person from 7 years ago owed money on a discover card. NO dependents living.

I got a call from this number about my deceased father. He had debt but no estate what so ever.

Did you actually speak to them or did you just ignore them. Have they left you alone? They called me today about my Mom & she has no estate either but I don't want to call them back cuz I know how they operate once you are on the phone with them. Thank you & I'm so sorry for your loss.

You can ignore these calls - try blocking the number. Best no to talk to these people, they take that to mean they can wear you down to extort money you do not owe.

Got call today--my husband just died in Jan.--I have not even probated the will. They may be calling because of my husband's credit card debt. Which I feel I am not responsible.  Don't know what to do.  I do not believe I will call them. I am still upset with my husband's passing.

Got a call today...my mom died in January. She had no money and left behind some credit card debt. I was warned about this company. They will continue to call...I will continue to ignore them.

They are calling about my ex-husband for debt that he had after we got divorced.  This is not the only company who calls about him.  I'm not responsible for his debt nor his estate, which is intestate and has not gone through probate - AND WILL NOT UNTIL THE 2 YEAR STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS IS UP FOR CREDIT CARD DEBT.  So no, I'm not calling them back.

I received a call from this number saying, "I'm Alexa Jackman looking for person who is handling the final affairs of the late Eugene Carvalow.  (I don't know anyone with that name) If you are that person or you can help me locate that person  please call between ...."

Debt collector calling about my step mother's unpaid bills. I haven't talked to my step mother in over 30 years.

Just got a call about my mother in law that passed last Oct.  Told them to contact our lawyer. So now will block their number.

Called about someone deceased.

discover card forgives the debt of people who die. my mom died. they forgave our debt. then I get a call from some fool a year later who can't even give me a 7 digit phone number, only 6. and they talk like that objectively annoying ai tiktok girl voice, but instead of clear and concise, it was hard to understand her from her marble mouth talking.
so yeah, if everyone is saying this is about discover card debt, be aware they just forgive it when someone dies.
