- AFGSucksThis is a ruthless debt collector that repeatedly uses scare tactics to coerce people to call back and pay up. Usual line is call back within the next 24 hours or face being pursued by the fullest extent of the law by their client. I've been getting harassing calls like this for months and still have never called back. I don't owe anything either but they still call anyway. Shut 'em down.

- kksnapThis number is connected to the same type of caller described above. They call themselves A-1 courier services and claim to be paid by the State of California to serve you papers regarding judgement against you. It's all BS! They call repeatedly to everyone, but ME and I am the one they want 300.00 bucks from. I was told it's from an old debt back in 2008. Give me a break. Oh and they told a friend of mine that they are coming to pick me up tomorrow at my place of employment between 9am and 12pm to take me ???? Where?? Court? Jaill? On a cruise to Hawaii? Where??? Funny how they don't disclose that part of the big threats of legal affidavit and court dates. I am sick of this type of harassment. They have been calling my mother who is 77 yrs old and scaring her to death over this. I can't wait for tomorrow.... I'll be sitting out front with a glass of wine waiting for you A-1 courier services!!!!

- honest and retiredThe caller Richard told my brother in law, and using my name and my granddaughters, told him we needed to call right away to keep from being sued. Neither of us have unpaid debts and do not have any accounts in common. Needless to say they can take a flying leap.

Complaint
My complaint is regarding a contract for charged off accounts and a transaction of $3900 to Invision Consulting Group and Allied Financial Group.
Hello, I am the owner of a collection agency called Dynamic Dedicated Financial Partnerships llc (Dallas, TX). I have done business with a debt seller by the name of ********* ****** with the companies Invision Consulting Group and Allied Financial Group (Coral Springs, FL). I purchased 447 charged off HSBC Retail MasterCard files on 6/24/2014 for $3900.00. I deposited $3600 into Invision consulting group's bank account and he used his company Allied Financial to debit $289.00 from my credit card and $11.00 from my debit card. Per our contract, I would receive the unmasked version of the accounts, which shows all the private information such as social security number, address, etc. Upon receipt of the accounts I realized a number of the columns where missing such as the original store the card is associated with, pay structure, and credit score. Upon the discovery of the missing information, I let **** know and he assured me he would get me the information I paid for. **** never delivered that information. Per our contract within 48 hours, I was to receive the chain of title showing that I own the accounts; I still have yet to receive the chain of title. I was advised that I would receive the media, which are the original contracts upon purchase of the accounts. After the transaction, I was told the media was upon request but when I requested any original contracts, my requests went ignored. **** then advised me he would let me work a file of his older accounts on contingency until he fixed all of the issues that I was having but when I read that contract it would have replaced the original contract which was not the deal. Until this day, ********* ****** has refused to pay me any of the money that he owes me from this deal. He says he was selling the accounts for someone else and they are not answering his calls. He never advised me that he did not own the accounts until after the transaction. I am the sole owner of a growing company and that is why I am just now able to make the complaint. Invision Consulting Group and Allied Financial definitely harmed my company and they are refusing to rectify the situation. Please assist me so other owners will not have to go through the same situation with these companies.
Desired Settlement
I am seeking a full refund for $3900.00. My company is not able to service the accounts without all of the information promised in the contract. We do not even own the accounts without the chain of title. The right thing to do would be to refund us for the purchase.

Re: Debt Purchase by ****** ***
Dear Mr. ******:
Mr. *** has retained me to contact you regarding his dissatisfaction with a recent purchase from Invision Consulting Group. Mr. *** tells me that he purchased roughly $266,000.00 of consumer debt for $1,650.00. According to Mr. ***, the debt he bought was supposed to be of a 2012 vintage from a creditor known as ************** The debt he ultimately received was from ********** but it was charged off much earlier, some in 2006, opening Mr. *** up to significant liability issues under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act when he attempted to collect the debt. Mr. *** has also advised me that he purchased the debt based on your advertising it as being fresh with only one prior collector working the file. Your website inventory (last updated on June 23, 2014) seems to indicate same, since the debt purchased was from ************* and the rest of the data appears to line up. I have enclosed a copy for your review.
There are a number of significant issues arising from the age of the debt and the number of collectors who have worked on it. First and foremost, debt charged off before 2009 faces a statute of limitations issue in New York, where it becomes essentially uncollectable after six years barring certain circumstances. Attempts to collect debt from XXXX-XXXX would inherently and immediately expose Mr. *** to FDCPA liability while debts from 2012 would not.
Second, almost 50% of the debt provided originated in Arizona. Mr. *** has advised me that Arizona stopped allowing payday lending in 2010, although debt owed prior to 2010 was still valid. I may be wrong, but my understanding is that ********* is/was a payday lending company. Even if the debt was close to the 2012 vintage that you claimed, collecting that debt could have opened Mr. *** up to significant FDCPA liability if the debt arose from post-2010 payday lending practices in Arizona.
Third, the number of collectors previously working the file has a direct correlation with the toxicity of the file from a liability standpoint. If the file has only been worked by one collector, the likelihood of debtors mistakenly remaining on the list despite having paid in full is significantly lowered. If the file has been worked by a laundry list of collectors, the probability of error increases dramatically. Despite advertising this debt as having been held by only one prior collector, it appears it has been through a number of agencies. Frankly, the debt appears toxic.
Mr. *** purchased debt that was supposed to be of relatively low risk. He received debt that almost invariably would have led to his company being sued under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, or both.
It appears Mr. *** did not receive what he bargained for in his dealings with your company. I am unsure whether it was a mistake or purposeful misrepresentation, but the fact remains that Mr. *** purchased what he believed to be relatively recent, collectable debt and received debt that is near impossible to collect on. Mr. ***'s business spent time, effort, energy, and resources attempting to collect on the debt, all the while wondering why it was so difficult. Unable to explain the difficulty, Mr. *** looked into the debt and found out what I have detailed above.
His business suffered a significant loss of profit due to this purchase.
Mr. ***'s request is simple. He wants his money back. He paid $1,650.00 for collectable debt and received debt that was very much toxic. His business lost money as a direct result of that debt. Please contact Mr. *** to advise if you will return the purchase price of $1,650.00. If you refuse, I have advised Mr. *** that he may be able to secure both the money he paid and additional lost profits through litigation in New York.I trust you will take time to consider your options. If y
