I searched this number...nothing. I searched UHC...nothing about this number. 877-384-1465 called knowing my son's full name asking him to call back, claiming to be United Healthcare Community Plan. I called UHC from my State, and they confirm they do NOT have this number on file as being from them. Do NOT call them back.

I got the missed call and voice mentioned this is from United Health care calling about my kid plan
I search and this is not from UHC.

Left a message to call back to verify an appointment. Knew the appointment date. Asked for DOB and phone number.

Called me knowing my name and asking my dob and address. i gave them neither and hung up after he said he needed to verify my information with Hippa for him to tell me why he was calling. Looked up the number and found this web page.

That is not how Hipaa works as a practical thing. That call was probably a phishing call or a some sort of Medicare scam. Good you didn't fall for it.

Just wanted to add that I called UHC and they said it was definitely a scam and that United Health Care would never call and ask for DOB and address. They also said HIPAA (not Hippa) would NEVER ask for an address for verification and that they only ask for DOB.

They knew my name which was weird but they also thought I was a dependent and were surprised I was not.

Your name and much of your "private" info has been leaked, stolen or bought so many times you can assume scammers have that info. Hospital and doctor's office records are routinely compromised.

Scammers like to use your name, address and last 4 of social to both "prove" they are legit and intimidate you.

Company has called me twice and left a voice mail. It's a live person leaving message on 9-1-23 at 1020am and today a different person 9-8-23 at 940am. They have my sons name and asking about his health from United Healthcare Community plan.

It's actually not a scam call. They are calling to remind you about your preventative health care screenings. For example cancer screenings, well-care screenings, immunizations, diabetes, high blood pressure, annual dental visits, etc. They can also have you verify your street name.

same issue here  wanted tot talk to my daughter and not me the eldest adult i said  no you cant and i will not allow it very calmly . she said OK thank you and hung up   then i get an automated call from Texas health steps with an auto message to jump.  no thanks.
and hour later i call them, they cant give me THEIR address or full name id SOMETHING,,  they want my info.
waste of peoples time.   call your Insurance to verify or Texas Health Steps an overseer to all things medicaid 832-380-8117

Seems one of the scammers got on here and posted lots of misinformation in order to mislead people.

Someone just called and left a message saying they're calling from United healthcare, but didn't say what they're calling about.  They never do. 😒This is about the 7th or 8th time in maybe 2 weeks. I just called UH customer service and they stated there are no notes, and nothing's wrong with my account that would need attention for this many calls at all. 🤦🏽‍♀️

got a call as well, knew kids name, i said what is this in reference to, he says " i am not going to go around in circles with you". i said good as your a scammer, and i hung up and blocked.  Was a nasty rude man. daryl he claimed was his name

Thses people are calling me everyday that they are calling me from united health community plan but i found out that they are scammers so don't answer your phone

I got a call from 877-684-1465 and left a message wanting me to call back about my dependent child. I called the number back and was given a code. Once I entered the code I was transferred to a person who asked for my phone #. I asked why she didn't already have that. Her statement was that all she had was my prefix of 252. I politely said thank you and hung up.

I just received a call from this number claiming to be united health care, they wanted me to enter code sent to my phone. I hung up, called UHC and they never called me. It's a scam.
