Got a call from this number says that they received a file with fraud with my name and SSN but never says who she is calling for and asks for a call back from me or my legal counsel. Failure to comply will result in litigation through my local jurisdiction. Ok, so what company is this?

9.28.2010. Received the identical message to our vacation cabin, of all places. There is no such thing in the real legal world as an "affidavit of fraud." I suspect it is one of the upstate New York fraudulent "debt collectors" who random-dial the white pages and threaten non-existent pending "lawsuits", then browbeat you into paying them something to go away. Even if you don't owe any debt, they will not stop harrassing you. In fact they just amp up the threats, hoping you'll be intimidated.  Don't give them ANY information. Record all conversations and demand they send you a verification of debt and all legal filings by US mail, which they are required by law to do. They will not give you a company name or street address. Tell them you are filing a complaint of fraudulent threat with your state attorney general, their attorney general, the FBI, the FTC, and their landline telephone carrier, whose terms of service they are violating by committing interstate fraud.

I called them back several times and got several different people, all of whom said something quick and unintelligible when they answered, trying to sound like a company. But one woman gave it away by answering "Monarch Resolutions." Our old friends from Tonawanda have relocated down the lake a bit to Derby, NY, and are still up to their old tricks.

This "firm" has been known as Tri-Financial, Prism, Vision, and my personal favorite, "Brewer, Michaels, and Kane, LLC", a "law office" that has no lawyers registered with the New York Bar. They are well-known to Andrew Cuomo and Bud Hibbs.  Ask Monarch for their NY State Debt Collector business license number, which they are required to have to collect debt, and watch the sparks fly! Why should they have all the fun? Keep a tape of all messages that threaten "a lawsuit in your jurisdiction"...they can't even tell you where that is!...That fraudulent threat alone is enough evidence to
    charge them with a felony.

I just received a phone call from these people today and the message that was left with a friend (somehow they had my friends #) of mine to return the call.  I called back, blocking my number out and I had the same problem where they spoke very fast answering and when I asked if they were a debt collector, they told me "No".  That they are a 3rd party company who assists lawyers for people who have settlements coming their way. They then proceeded to read me my SS# and explaining a bill that I owe money from years ago.  I immediately requested to send me information in the mail and I hung up.  They then called me back from this numer: 877-341-7412  It was then a male on the phone whom did not provide me with his name, informed me that he just heard my conversation.  He said he was from New York and that he was a paralegal and that they did not need to infrom me that the call had been recorded.  I asked how he had gotten my phone number, considering I blocked it out and he told me he received my information from a retired sheriff that works there....which if that is true, it sounds illegal to me.  He also told me that he has a brother who is a police officer in the state that I live in and that he would have his brother come and serve me. He was reading me information of debts in my name that I do not recall.  I told him to send me any info. in the mail, but then he asked me for an address, I said, "have your retired sheriff look it up."  He then called me scum and said I sound like the type of person who would live in a small, rundown place.

Got a call from the same number. The voice came on the voicemail pretty stern and in a threatening tone and told about a civil matter with my name and ssn attached to it and for me or my attorney to get in contact with___from "Monarch Resolutions". Usually when a collection call comes on a voicemail it is more professional. This almost came across as loan sharking/shakedown. I had to come here and see if I was the only one so thanks for the info and the heads up on the laws concerning debt collection practices. Obviously they are not following them.

    Irritated
I received a call from 877-404-7608 on Friday, December 16, 2010 at 5:30 AM in the morning.  When I answered the phone, no one would answer on the other side, but I could hear voices in the background and then they hung up.  I looked up the phone number and it was for Monarch Solutions LLC in New York.  I have no idea who this company is or what they were calling for.  Getting a call at 5:30 AM is a violation of the law.

I too have gotten a call to call back to this number the person calling is very rude and stern. Says that they are collecting on a bill that i know I do owe from the past. I have paid them some but only a little at a time. I have a prepaid credit card i put the money on. She informed me they will not make anymore arrangements on a declined payment. When I call the number back it tells me you have reached mailbox 2001. I am no longer going to use that card. I feel i have been played enough I thought it was legit. Guess not..I will be more cautious in the future..thanks for the information on this site. Helped me hope it helps others..

I just had a message left on my phone from a Mr. Meyer saying the same old song & dance about my ss number is attached to some debt.  Well if you call and leave a message you should address who its for.  As far as I know they could have a wrong number.  But these guys are calling multiple people and are just trying trying to scam people.  If this were. True then were are the documents that show this debt???  Nothing has come in the mail.  Just like Chinese laundry........no ticket no laundry.  No proof no payment.

    concerned
I had this phone message from a Mr. Meyers on my cell phone today stating: "Information has been obtained under my name and Social Security number. Federal Law prohibits him from leaving any details. The matter is time sensitive and I or my legal counsel should respond to the 1-877 number." Since they did not address me by name and did not identify what company they are calling from it made me suspicious.    I think they are phishing - they may not know my name or social security number and I did not return the call to give them any additional information.  Hardly anyone has my cell phone number. I have no outstanding debts - so I am not sure how they were planning on defrauding me. I tried calling BBB but won't be able to reach anyone until tomorrow.
I am so glad I found all your comments on line.  Thank you for posting these messages. I now know for sure that I will not respond.
What agency should this be reported to and who investigates these phone scams?
These people obviously have been using the same scam for quite a few months. How can they be stopped?

I received many phone calls from this "Monarch Resolutions" Today's was the best. Shawn Scott a Paralegal in their firm. I called back. I have been asking for the original documents for about 2 years now on this issue not receiving anything other then a bill from them. Today this guy called me "Mrs. Scumbag" refered to me as a "credit card junky". All I want is the original documents that they have to show I owe anything. When or should I say if I ever receive them and they are truely mine, it will be paid. I will be filing a complaint with BBB as well as Supreme Courts now as they are in NY and I am in NJ. Harrasing phone calls telling someone "you are no good for your children or your family" is beyond ignorant.

Same thing happened to my husband and I recently.  The "lovely " Mrs. Miller & Mrs. Collins have made threatening calls to both of us. All they are is a debt collection agency who bought the debt from someone else.  They are bullies because they think they have to scare people out of their hard earned money.
