- HartTwo charges on my credit card
- NatoI too was charged $14.95 for "monthly monitoring of my credit report even though I specifically indicated that I only wanted the one time report. The customer service rep said the only way I could cancel would be by calling that number. I was then told that I still would be charge the next month's fee to which I told them that it was not acceptable. After a moment I was told the account was immediately cancelled and no further charges would be made. Let see if that is the case.
- DavyI was charged $14.95 on my card from CIC* Triple Advantage. No reason. I was to dispute this.
- Judy HummerWe were charged $14.95 from our checking account for a one time FREE credit report. We are pursuing this with our bank.

- Ramcall your bank and tell them the amount to look for and the company and they will put a stop on it, then you might have to change your bank account because your bank account has been comprised.
- TimTHEY ARE A RIP OFF! I never agreed for the charges of $14.95 to my credit card. I clicked that I wanted the free credit report one time. I am now being charged for something I did not agree to!
When I call (8774816825)them they refuse to cancle my account until I informed them that I was online with the Comsumer Report and was planing to joine the class action suit against them. They then closed my account or so they said. I will see if there is anothe charge against my account. - lukeI cant believe i fell 4 it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- RyanAccording to the Experian.com site, you have to cancel within 7 days or else you automatically enroll for the $14.95 fee
- same storyI got change 4 month in a row. As a busy doctor I guess I don't check my credit card bill that often. I eventually decided to call them. After a long hold, I got a rep on the phone. I said that the credit report I requested should be free and no string attached. It is illegal and unethical to automatically charge me. I clearly don't remember I ever agree to one week of trial of anything. Most like they automatically enroll you into this kind of program.
She told me they can give me one month refund. I refused and wanted to talk to her manager. After a long hold, she was back on the phone and said she can give me two month refund. I refused again and said I am going to report this company to FTC bureau of comsumer protection. After another long hold, she was back and said that they would give me all four month of charge back.
After this, I did a quick internet search and found that this has been happening to a lot of people.
I am going to report this anyway. Hope more people will take their time and do the same. - Feeling betrayedI just now noticed that I had a charge from this company, after looking through my account history this has been going on for at least 5 months. I called and canceled and then reported the company to the FTC bureau of consumer protection. Experian also added my new address to my credit without me giving them the information and ok to do so. They will not listen to you for a second when you call them to cancel, but when the guy pointed out the disclaimer I had to look for it. When I found it, its light blue writing on a light blue background. They did not call me I noticed the charge on my account.
- Caller: Experian
- JackIcalled this number and was told that "According to the Experian.com site, you have to cancel within 7 days or else you automatically enroll for the $14.95 fee." I didn't know that! I spent 4 months payment to them....
- LarryI also found a $14.95 unauthorized charge on my credit card, so I called the number and after about 15 minutes got through to someone who was obviously seated at a phone bank in India. Then it dawned on me that someone outside the United States has access to your personal informaion because if you want to attempt to get them to remove the charge, youmust give them your mother's maiden name and the last four digits of your ssn, in addition to your cc number.
Does anyone have their physical address so we can organize a million person protest march in the hope of discouraging them from continuing to scam people? - MeganI didn't receive a call from them but they did take 14.95 from my account. This happened when I signed up to receive a free credit report from a very popular credit report company. When you sign up for their service they lump you into a 7 day trial period of some program, that's when they start to charge you for the program. I simply called the above number and when they told me I couldn't get refunded I asked to speak to a manager because I was going to report them to the Consumer Protection Bureau and that's when they told me that they would refund me the full amount and cancel my account with them. Don't let them get away with this!!

- GinnySame as me. I just seen the charge on my bank statement. They do need to be stopped. I am going to call them and believe me they will refund me my $14.95. We are in a fin. crisis and they want to play with our money. This is not right.
- CortWow, I set this up a long time ago. Never really checked because I thought it was free and I have been deployed not receiving any statements for a few yrs for to it go unnoticed. This is ridiculous. Not sure if I can claim ignorance but thanks everyone for the info on how hopefully I can get my money back.
- TaraI too received this charge and called 877-481-6825. I received an operator who wanted to tell me of all the benefits of this service. I threatened a fraud suit if they didn't credit it back immediately. I was then read a script again. I demanded to speak to a supervisor and was suddenly issued a credit. I will call my bank to be sure that I am refunded within the promised 7-10 days. If you have the same problem, I suggest doing the same thing. Next time, I will avoid freecreditreport.com because it is a scam and anything but free.
