this is a scam call, and these people are criminals. I called UNC to confirm their name and number and UNC Billing (for the entire hospital) has never heard from them nor do they use them. They (UNC) did take a report with the name of the company, the so called name of contact, and the number they are using, and informed me they will be contacting the special divisions department of the state police to pursue this and file a complaint directly. I was told once they have that information they need they will turn that over to their attorneys and the state attorney general office their findings so they may take appropriate actions against this company and if needed prosecute and inquire on how they acquired confidential UNC patient information (a federal felony if done illegally). Since UNC has never heard of this company one can only assume they are acting in a illegal capacity. UNC informed me that unpaid amounts are collected by the state via state tax owed back to residents and only when this fails do they take into consideration other measures she didn't get into with me, yet I would assume some kind of court filings or collection agency. I KNEW it was a scam immediately as I have every receipt for every payment I have ever made to them and had each billing signed off by them as well from UNC to prevent nonsense JUST LIKE THIS. Furthermore folks you have to watch these little weaselly thieves and POST DAYS OR WEEKS AFTER they call you, this way they cannot scan through these comments and match hangups or contacts to the actual individual they are trying to scam. By doing this they also confirms your a real person when they sell your information to another criminal with pretend companies doing the same scam with a different twist (see IRS, Capital One, etc. scams).

They left no message and when no message is left I assume it is a telemarketer or a scam , so this to me is a scam
