I also keep getting hang up calls. I think it is a fake number.  To STOP THEM, it is necessary to file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).  go to ftc.gov   Good Luck~!     I just filed a complaint.  They should add harassment to the call type, imho.

What can I do to stop unwanted calls?
Make sure your number is on the Do Not Call Registry.

Hang up on illegal sales calls. If your number is on the Registry, and you get a sales call, or you get an illegal robocall, don’t interact in any way. Don’t press buttons to be taken off the call list or to talk to a live person. Doing so will probably lead to more unwanted calls.  Instead, hang up and file a complaint with the FTC.

Investigate whether call blocking can help.

If you get repeated illegal calls from one particular number, contact your phone company. Ask to block that number, but first ask whether there’s a fee for this service.
If you get unwanted calls from many different numbers, look into a call blocking solution. There are online call blocking services, call blocking boxes, and smartphone apps that block unwanted calls. Research whether the service costs money and whether it’s effective. Do an online search to look for reviews from experts and other users.

It hangs up as soon as you answer

Did not answer and no message was left.

Every day I get multiple calls from 877-577-4095 with no response when I answer the phone

I get a call from this number everyday, sometimes more than once a day.  Filling out police reports and reporting it to the government does absolutely nothing.  They have "better things to do"!  Just shut off your answering machine and ignore the phone when it rings.  Check your caller ID a few times to see who or what called.  Respond only to numbers you know and not to anything else.

Makes me wonder if they have this trouble with the phones in Russia?  I wouldn't think there would be any political calls or "surveys".

Just got a call from these yahoos.  English not being their first language, asked me who I vote for US.  I said US what?  The guy, Victor, hung up.  It makes my heart happy that some annoying pol is paying this guy and getting nothing, lol.

Your rage would be better directed toward whoever was supposed to have taught you to read and think.  Mostly read.  The DNC list does NOT apply to political calls, surveys or criminals. This is info you can find on their website, in fact, it is prominently featured.

The DNC is not a valve you turn on to stop the calls you don't want. Crooks break the law, so do the crooks in other countries who are able call with no fear at all. And so do your elected local, state and federal reps.

You are the Political Body.  You have been lying and cheating yourself. Fight for and make the changes you want or you should just shut up, you come off as a ignorant brat.
