Scam to collect your voice and personal information. Robocall claiming to be about "your prescription". Hang up.

While numbers can be spoofed and scammers abound, if you are a Wellcare Advantage member you might want to check with Wellcare using the number on your member card to be certain that they did not call you.  I've actually had my Medicare Advantage company call me regarding a prescription because it was no longer listed in the formulary.  Might be worth a call?

I received a call from this number.  The recorded message said it was from Wellcare, my prescription drug plan provider.  I called the member phone number on my card, which was different from the number I was told to call.

The Wellcare rep told me he didn't see anyone calling me, but if it was from a different dept he wouldn't know as he was customer service.  I work for a big company and, no matter who called, all calls to customer's, including auto calls, were recorded in the same system.

I have gotten two of these calls from different non-toll free numbers telling to call this number.  Calls from non-toll free numbers are a red flag for me, especially if I get the same call from two different number.  IMO a legit company would call you from the same number every time.  That way you can put it into your CallerID so you know who is calling you.

When in doubt, cross check the number either from your card or from the web.  If it's not a published number from the company, call a published one.

Already have and I stand by my post.  The possibility of spoofing is always there which is why I suggested they call using the number on their card.

Got a call from this number identified as WellCare, my prescription plan. It was a fraud, trying to sell me alert button necklaces.
