A woman, Betty, French Canadian accent, calling on behalf of the Calgary Police Association needing confirmation of details to invoice us about an advert supposedly placed by our Ops manager. Wanted me to interrupt client interview as this was very important. When refused she grudgingly left message stressing he must call her back at ext 8211. Ops manager wasn't aware of advert. Betty called back 15 minutes later with same spiel. This time Ops manager spoke to her and said he wasn't interested, don't call again. not 10 minutes later Rob called behalf of the Calgary Police Association needing confirmation of details.

Received hostile messages from 8776328156, on behalf of Toronto Police Association. Don’t answer and don’t call them back. They are trying to sell you ad space and will indicate a threat if you don’t purchase it.

I just recieved phone call regarding this number. call was actually pretend? to be local, it had my local 3 numbers at front. so i thought it was local. Caller said she is in Police Association, and she asked me if owner is avilable, i said "no, can i take a message" then she left me this 1-877-632-8156 Ext.8623, Ms. Zabriella. to call her back.

I almost took this message as legit. Now I know this is fraud. I'm glad i looked it up. Thank you guys!

caller calls himself "Andrew" of Toronto Police Association asking for donations. Asked to call back  at etxn 8697.

I got the call too he sounds like a psychopath. Scam dont answer it

Received this message: presented herself as Alia from Canadian Police Association. Aske to call back extension 8698. It is a fraud. Do not call back.

Our company got the same call from 'Kindell' at Canadian Police Association looking for advertisement donation. Weird that it was from a local number, but call back number was 1877-632-8156 ext. 831

My organisation received a call and on the voicemail, a lady requested a call back stating she is from the Canadian Police Association at this "toll free number". Googled it and couldn't find any association of this number to the actual CPA.

We got exactly the same message today, with the same extension #. Glad I looked this up.

"Hi, there.  My name is Rene.  I'm just calling on behalf of the Canadian police Association.  If you could just give me a call back at 877-632-8156 and I also have a direct extension which is 8625 thank you."
Left me this message.  Came from 613-778-8852.  Seems fishy!

Same exact message as Dan posting above. Rene seems to be very needy.

Received a call from "Dylan" claiming to be from the Canadian Police Association and asking to call him back at ext 8616. Came from 613-209-3569. Looked the number up and saw all the reports of it being a scam call.

Got a call from Andrew to call him back from Police very scary and I did not call back and blocking the number seemed kind of real!  Thank you everyone

Most of these are phony charity calls. If you want to give money to any charity or organization, you can first look them up on a site like Charity Watch and then make any donation to the organization directly.
From the posts here, I would be very careful about calls from this outfit.

I just got a call half an hour ago. I didn’t pick up. The caller left a voicemail. He said his name was dawn and was calling from Canadian Police Association. He had called from a number in Toronto but asked to be called back on 1-877-632-8156 extension 8699. He definitely sounded like a native Canadian English speaker. I looked up Canadian Police Association and there was no such number on their website. I thought to check online and am glad I did so. Now having read many of the posts on the page, I am more confident that it was a scammer at worst or donation caller at best.

Getting the same message, how is this still going on???

Sorry Sam.. Change the script.. Checked here first... # presented was: 705-419-1648 is a Landline phone number operated by Distributel and is located in the city of Sudbury in ON.

Call from Janet - offering to add our company to their directories (maybe at a cost??). Number didn't match up to the CPA website, so I looked it up. Sounded a little funny. Number was 1877-632-8156 x 6812
