I have lived at my current address for over 4 years. My last name is quite common, and my number is published in the phone book with only the first letter of my first name. I have been receiving the same threatening phone calls for over 4 years from this company (and many other companies...this woman must owe everyone in the Western World) and I am NOT the person they are calling, who DOES have the same first letter of her name and shares my last name. I have called them numerous times over the years and have told them, "I am NOT the person you are trying to contact. REMOVE my phone # from your data base, try to legitimately contact her, and stop blowing up my voice mail with your calls!" They assured me they would; however, the phone calls continue to come in, the most recent of which was yesterday. Timothy Cooper, who identified himself as an associate with TPS& Associates stated I MUST appear at "my court hearing, but if I could not, I MUST contact the number he left IMMEDIATELY." Like some of you, I called back and "got the music." More than feel your frustration. Thanks for reading.

they just called my sister's number thinking it was me. they said I owe 780 dollars from 2008. no valid credit waits 5 years to contact you on the phone after NEVER mailing anything. these people are SCAMMERS! do NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING. a real debt will supply back up paperwork. if they threaten to "send you papers" tell them to bring it on!!!

I took out one of those stupid Western Sky loans and have since gone delinquent on all my debts. The legitimate ones will send paperwork informing you of the debt. I am considering filing chapter 7 anyway, but these people keep calling back with new deadlines or they will sue, and they call my parents and family members.

This company collects on recycled debt. You probably have already paid this loan off and these scumbags are harassing you and using illegal collection tactics. Beware of these scumbags. If you receive correspondence from this company, record all calls and request documentation. They pose as representatives for a "litigation firm" saying they are going to sue if you do not pay them immediately. Big shocker coming next. They won't be suing you at all. If you don't pay, they move it along and them sell the debt off to another batch of dirtbags.

it is a scam I contacted the police.  If they are making threats or calling your job inform them to stop if they do not contact your state attorney general and report the incident.  It will make them have to change their number.  Also if you have a yahoo account change your password every month

Go Kelly, I agree with you.   If they have the proof telll them to bring it or shut up already. They told me I owe money to a bank that does not exist

I'm actually an employee there and no it is not a scam. Just debt collectors trying to do their job. If you spoke with me personally, I'm the pleasant one.

I keep getting calls from a Mr. Fitzgerald who says that a relative of mine has "important documents" that need attention and to call the filing party at 877-645-7986.  He says the envelope is sealed and does not know what is inside.  Then he ends the message with "good luck!".  I called the number several times and all I got was music.  Today I actually got through to a man who said that my relative should "take responsibility and call them"  in an extremely rude tone.  I told him to quit calling me and that he was an a***ole and hung up.
