I get at least 7 calls a day from this number.  I never answer and any voice mails that are left, noone speaks.  It is infuriating.

It's SunTrust and it's legit.  I give them my 4-digit SSN every month and set up an electronic payment for my 2nd mortgage.  For whatever reason, they can't do automatic payments, so they need to call for authorization each month.  It is credited to my account tho, so it's legit.  And it's completely normal to ask for the last 4 of the SSN and address before discussing banking concerns, frankly, I'm glad they do.  They don’t leave messages for me either, not sure why, that would make it easier.

I get a call regularly from this number; never leaves a msg.

Different people call daily (sometimes more) from this number claiming to be from Suntrust Bank.  Today it was Layla, employee number UFLH3.  They ask me to verify my SSN and mailing address.

This number calls numerous times daily.  Sometimes back-to-back and sometimes even on Sunday.  They do not leave a message and hang up as soon as the answering machine clicks on.  There are times when I go to see who's calling and they hang up before I reach the phone.  They say they are from Suntrust Bank, but they ARE NOT.  After I looked them up and found who they were, I call MY Suntrust Bank.  I told them what was happening so they looked over my account for me and let me know all my accounts were in order and there were no flags or anything to warrant a call.  They also said they would never call like that and ask for my account number or social security.  Only when YOU call the bank and ask information about YOUR account will they ask you to verify.  I was told NOT to give anyone any information when receiving calls like that..
I must say I have been late a time or two, and have been called by Suntrust, but they didn't ask for any personal information.  That's  because if they're legit, they have that information already.

Blows my phone up, day in and day out. Finally got tired and answered today.  Long pause after I said "hello" indicating an auto-call system.  When broken English female picked up, she said it was Suntrust Bank (which is my bank) and they asked for me by name.  When I told her it was me speaking, she asked for the last 4 of my SS# so she could verify it was me.  When I asked the nature of the call, she refused to give me any info until I provided the last 4 of my SS#.  I told her she called me and I don't know that she is Suntrust and refused.  This stand-off went on for 3 minutes until she gave up and asked me if I just wanted to go to my branch and speak to manager.  I told her that is exactly what I will do.  She said to see the manager and give them this phone number and the manager will explain the call.  There will be a lot to explain if this in fact is Suntrust perpetrating this annoyance.  I'm not behind on any payments, account issues etc, there is no reason for anyone from Suntrust to be blowing my phone up.  Will get to the bottom of it Monday morning

SunTrust just told me that this IS NOT them calling.  This is a SCAM.  The scammers are reporting HERE that they are legit, but they are NOT.  Call Suntrust and ask them yourself 800-786-8787

Called today, no message. I've never even heard of Sun Trust bank, so that's not who it is. Just block it.

I picked up and when no one answered immediately, I hung up as I figured they were a solicitor.  They continue to call day after day, multiple times a day and leave no message.

I was really skeptical about this one - they've been calling me for weeks on my home and cell, including weekends, and on the handful of times I answered they claimed to be Suntrust bank (whom I do bank with) and needed me to confirm the last 4 of my SS# before proceeding.  Sounded fishy to me so I didn't give it.  On another call they also offered the option of simply confirming my mailing address, but at that point I was spooked. That representative suggested I contact my local branch or the main 800# for Suntrust and give them the number I was receiving calls from and they would be able to verify the call was legitimate.  I contacted the main 800# for Suntrust and gave the rep the 877# which he looked up and confirmed it was from their collections center, specifically related to mortgages/equity lines.  I am aware that I had a missed payment last month, so I assume that is why they were calling.  That said, it appears this number is legit.

Got call from number but left no message. After researching the number. Got a call again. Said they are from suntrust. Asked for my last four numbers of my Ss .asked what this was in reference to but then asked to validate my home address. Was very rude. Told them I will contact my bank. I went to my bank branch to find out of any problems. Told them of what happen and told me they do not ask for that info. Anytime someone does not leave a message is a red flag and then asking for your Ss or address and not giving what it is albout is a scam

This is Suntrust.  I forgot to pay a loan payment for a week. This is not a scam, it's an attempt to get a payment. And they called me 4 times the day I made the payment, 2 of those were after I made the payment in a branch.

I have been receiving daily calls with no voicemail from this number. I am currently on hold with sun trust customer service. I called their main line to inquire about these calls I was getting from this number, they said it is a number for their collections and they are currently transferring me to them. Not sure why i'm getting called because I don't owe anything outstanding, guess i'm about to find out and ask them to stop.

Have received multiple missed calls from this number, no message ever. I called them back and they immediately asked for last 4 of SSN. I told them about all the messages on line and he said take the number to a local branch and have them to call and then I would see that it was all ok. The problem with that is that the closest branch is now over an hour away because of all the closures. He then told me to check my accounts online and click on show details and it would tell me why it's calling.
