I received several calls from Pierre, SD and 1 message from Jane, saying that I was a finalist in a $50,000 home make over contest.  As one of the finalist, I could choose from several prizes and that this was not a sales call.  I have not called back yet.  Anybody have info on this?

Just received the same message indicating that I was a finalist in this contest in which I filled out an entry (which I don't recall entering).  The called indicates that my entry was chosen from the thousands that were received.  Still no name of the sponsor the the contest is being said.  I believe this to be a scam.

I got the same call, but it was for a $25K home makeover from Direct Buy (a home furnishing club, much like Costco)\

They say I have to go to an "open house" and get one of 5 keys. I am supposedly guaranteed to win either the $25 makeover
or $25K cash, or an all expense paid trip to one of their destinations and a $100 gift card from Restaurants.com.  

Supposedly, there is no sales job, just an open house to show you what they do.

I also recieved a call today from jane, the message informed me that i was a finalist in the direct giveaway for a $25K  home makeover or $25K cash. I did"nt call back. I have been on  the internet looking up home improvments on DIY site. Has anyone else?

I received the same phone call today from Jane.  I am a finalist for a $25,00 home makeover and need to return the call.  "I can assure you this is not a sales call."  She says she represents the National Direct Association on the message.  There is no such thing....cute way to make you think it's something else.
Interesting in that the number showing on the machine does not match the number to call back.  It is coming from a suburb of Chicago (708 area code) with a different name showing than Jane. People are so sneaky these days.  I am not calling back since this is obviously a telemarketer.

I got the same message - also from jane. I'll pass as well.

Just got the message today from Jane - exact same deal.  I COULD be a winner of the great, $25,000 giveaway...not. No company name - just said something about 'our national direct giveaway'.

877-659-0390 -- Jane saying I entered some contest I never entered for $25,000 home makeover or cash, that I am a finalist, not a sales call, yadda yadda yadda.   I am on the Do-Not-Call list.  Seems the list is a farce.  Doesn't stop anything.  Crooks don't obey laws by definition.

Wow!  Aren't we all lucky?  Jane called me and said I was a finalist in a $25K home makeover or $25K cash contest.  She said I was guaranteed to win one of the top gifts (but didn't say what the top gifts are).  She told me too it wasn't a sales call.

I never would have entered a $25K home makeover contest because I don't own a home.  

I think I'll pass too and let Rod win.  ;-)

I also won!  Guess they have a lot of prizes to give away.  I did call the number from a different phone and asked for Jane (I was curious and had 5 minutes to kill).  The guy said "Jane was unavailable and how could he help."  He asked for my name and told him I'd call back when Jane was available.

Received the same call from Jane as everyone else above.  I did not return the call.  Rod can have my stuff too.

"Jane" called me, too.  I'm curious if anyone answers when she calls.

Jane is developing an inferiority complex, because no one returns her calls.

Got the message yesterday also. Man, there sure are a lot of winners! This group must have a bunch of money they can't spend quickly enough! Maybe Jane is with that Liberty Resources group that got busted yesterday for world-wide money laundering. Gotta say though, as telemarketers go, this lady really sounds convincing - nicely done Jane! You go girl! But, I'm sorry Jane, I'm not going to call you back. You can't read a do-not-call list, so I'm not interested in you. I like my girls smarter.

I got that same call on my voice mail.  I'm on the do-not-call list, as well.  They ALMOST got me to believe it.  Thanks for the heads up.

Yes - I was on diy and hgtv looking up information about bathroom remodels, etc.

I got this call on 7/5/13 - from Jane for $25,000 for a contest entry.  I don't enter contests so suspect this is a total scam and that hgtv.com sells its cookies.

I got the Jane call but with an offer of 50,000, so she has upped her game.  NEVER enter drawings, a total ruse.
