I can't say if the call you or others here are legit or a scam. The fact is that there are crooks working a scam based on CBCC. I am bothered that this phone number does not readily trace to the CBCC. The safe way to go is call the CBCC. If you get a definitive answer, post back here to help others.Quote:A "Credit Bureau of Canada Collections scam" refers to a situation where someone pretends to be from the Credit Bureau of Canada Collections agency to try and extort money from you by claiming you owe a debt, often using aggressive tactics, even if you don't actually owe them anything; this is considered a debt collection scam and should be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre if you suspect it's happening to you.

- LorelaiI asked collect cent directly via the Montreal Branch number on their website. They were trying to contact me to reach the guy who had my number before me. I don’t tell you to pay anything, just that you may want to call them back to be sure it’s not you they are looking for. Keep ignoring them I really don’t care I was just trying to help.
