I keep getting calls from this number. They act like they are law enforcement. I do not owe any dept, I have no idea why they keep calling and leaving  threatening messages

CRA is more than likely a scam... I called back after the "urgent" message and was on hold waiting forever, but wanted to know what they wanted. They told me there was an old debt I defaulted on in 2001 that is going to be reported to the IRS. REALLY?! The IRS doesn't deal in debt collections, plus this debt was settled over 5 years ago and I have proof... I seems as though they use old credit/debt information and try to scare you into settling for something you don't owe. I'm reporting them to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and the BBB (Better Business Bureau)....

I called the FTC (877-382-4357) and spend about 5-10 minutes with a live person reporting the incident. She was very polite and instructed me to also file a complaint with my State Attorney General's office, which I am about to do...

I received a call from CRA for an old room-mate. I returned called to have them remove my number from their call list. The manager overseeing the initial caller answered and I made my request. He verified my number and the name on the account and began to question my relationship to the individual. I explained that it doesn't matter if I know them, lived with them or related to them...I was calling to have MY number removed from their database, so I wouldn't be hounded by their calls. He then became a bit irate and stated that I am not trying to hound you...I am not a telemarketer, a collection agency or anything like that...we have legal documents for this person, and your number was listed as an emergency contact. I explained again, that it doesn't matter if I were listed...that the phone is paid by me...and the owner is therefore requesting you to remove HER number from your database. I explained I knew the person and would relay message, but didn't want any more calls to continue. He hung up on me. Real professional...and they are a collection agency

Got this call the 1st time 2 days ago and they left a vm. when you call to pick your vm it dials back to them somehow. Then yesterday i got the message "URGENT" I MUST call or have my representative call immediatley? WTH? What is this all about???

Im tired of these rude people calling!they dont want to tell you anything.And its not even my phone they are calling.

My father got a call from these people and said they needed to speak to me asap it was a very urgent matter. Tried to call back to see who it was and was placed on hold to wait for a agent. No info as to who they are. But of course its tax time so people are going to being scamming left and right  this time of year.

Please take me off this phone list.

This number apparently belongs to Consumer Recovery Associates, and they are continually calling my home and leaving messages asking for a person who I do not know. When I call back to discuss the matter with them they are abrupt and rude, and will not let me finish my sentence. When I try to talk they say I am being rude and tell me to "cease and desist" calling their number. I believe this is a scam, and I am trying to track down their physical location so I can contact the appropriate authorities

Lady left voicemail to call or my Rep call TODAY.  The name she mentioned. Wasn't even me.  Sounded fishy. Called FTC, indeed its a scam.  If they call,  REPORT THEM ASAP.

They call my best friend at all hrs ,leaving a message asking if she is me or representng me, then says it is extremely important that i contact them ASAP.... after reading these post ....I DNT THINK SO !!!

I got  call from this number they don't leave messages.. fraudaluent scam artist and they just randomly dial numbers and continue to harrass you with these dum calls. the best bet don't pick up let it ring. eventually they will stop!

LOL! ppl will do anything to try to scam you.
