Not if the call is SPOOFED.

SPOOFED.   I also got this call 2 times plus e-mail from AT&T from which came from a resort in Egypt.
I am not a customer with AT&T but they tried to get personal info just thinking I was.

Spoofed as ATT. Called first me and then my wife days later to tell us we had over first $1500 then $1200 in international calls. Strangely, knew our daughter's cell number (she's abroad), but when we went on the ATT site there were no calls on our acct. No idea what the scam was intended to get from us, but beware. If you have ATT call 611 to confirm.

877-714-1509 comes up on ATT customer service screen whenever I call them and we call from our home landline phone which is completely different.  Att always says "I see your calling from 877-714-1509, I say No and give them my home number. How can this be happening?

I do have service with AT&T.  I had been on the phone with ATT discussing my service. I called them so I definitely was talking to ATT. About 5 minutes after our call was finished, my phone rang. Caller ID showed
877-714-1509. I didn’t recognize the number so I let it go to VM. I Googled the number and saw all these posts. So I called ATT and asked if they had tried to reach me from
877-714-1509. They said that was Not an ATT number.
I find it very interesting that I got this call immediately after ending a call with ATT(legit). Weird!

Had called AT&T today about my service.  Like the comment on May 9, several minutes I had a call from unknown 877-714-1509. Called AT&T and was told that was NOT an AA&T phone number!!

Received call which I let go to voice mail and 2 text messages at 3 in the morning saying it was AT&T.  The voice message was extremely poor english.

I spoke to ATT today as well. Recieved two calls from this number afterwards.I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. They did not leave a message.

I called ATT from  number on their website. A woman took care of my problem.  A man called from above reported number.  Wanting my password for my Directv account. SCAM from high heaven. Now blocked.

I have received several calls from this number over the last several days and no messages are left. Who is this caller.

Same thing just happened to me.  I was discussing phone options with ATT, then 5 minutes after I hung up, I got a call from this number.

probably working with the ATT service agents from India we are dealing with.  As soon as we hang up, they give our number to their friend who tries to jack us. If they do, all ATT has to say was that call didnt originate from them, but in face it did from one of their employees.

Called. Didn't answer. Will block.

I too was on the phone with AT&T and received a call from this number. Voice mail was regarding upgrade to account

Same as many others ... I was online chatting with DirecTV and then AT&T and this # number called me repeatedly & insistently 5 times - I had to keep declining it so I could continue my chat.  They didn't leave any voicemails.
