My father received a call from this number saying they were associated with Child Protective Services in New York.

A very rude man called, lying that my boyfriend had left this number 'for a personal business matter'. Looking them up found that they are a debt collector. The student loan that they are looking to collect is going through forgiveness, but he didn't care about that.

Windham Professionals.  Very rude and deceitful collectors.  They are fishing for your personal information.  You'd better not tell them anything about yourself--not your birthdate, SS#, nor even your name.  Just keep asking them THEIR name (they will lie and give you a false name), and their business.

TELL THEM NOTHING.

Got a letter.from this company stating i owe 4,863.44 just.for student loans for only 7 months??!!!! Three words it is fraud!!!!

They are calling me CONSTANTLY!!! even left a threatening voice mail (dummies) at my job...I turned it over to our head of security...he's not happy about it and is probably going to take their [***] to task...

Called my 75 year old mother and stated they needed "extensive information" from me. She refused to tell them anything. I suggest you do the same!

Wow...they called my JOB !! These lying [***] wanted info about me and when i called,they claimed i owe over $2000...for a student loan....which i never had. Rude,coniving.....the furthest thing from "professional"!!!! Beware these ignorant f*ckers !! Block their calls,threaten them with legal action...they WILL leave you alone !!

A person by the name of Dennis called a place that I volunteer at and left me a message to call him back.  This is not a place of resident.

Windham Professionals and they will also call repeatedly from land lines and have software to alter incoming calls.  Biggest trick out there these days is using your area code or that of your family that lives out of state or out of the local area code to have you answer the phone thinking you are receiving a call from your family.

9 out of 10 times they have purchased old debts that are near or past the 7 year actionable period.  If you are a victim of this method of illegal practices - file a complaint immediately.

Have the human resources department of your employer send a cease and desist letter if they are making collection calls to your workplace.  I'm an HR professional and I do not tolerate collection actions against our employees - especially when its old expired debt or by ruthless un-professionals with the purpose to harass and belittle individuals in the workplace.

In accordance to the FDCPA you are hereby placed on notice to cease and desist collection actions of any kind or for any reason through methods of contact specified and intended for business related matters in connection with employer (insert employer business name).

FDCPA stipulates communication includes but is not limited to workplace telephone, postal mail, express mail, email, faxes, and texts.  Failure to comply with the cease and desist will result in legal action as well as formal complaint issued with FTC (federal trade commission) and the State Attorney General Office.

Consider this your one and only demand to cease and desist before legal action is pursued.

i just received a all from someone @ Windham Professionals.. the call was for someone who i do not know, and it was regarding debt collection....
i do not owe anything to anyone..
and i do not pick up,nor do i return calls if its not for me,and if i don't know who's calling..
that is why i have a caller id.. and i usually google the number to see who it belongs to..
could just be someone checking if its a working number..
or someone checking if anyone is home....people have ways to get whatever nowadays.
to many scams going on these days..

I know that they called my job yesterday asking about my supervisor about my birth date and when she refused . I called them back and said that my work number never showed up. That they didn't call me. The man that called me was very rude and said he didnt called me and I should delete their number

These people use some type of robo callers to call. They are debt collectors for educational debt. These people are total scumbags, they are trying to collect the same debt as another company. How can two different companies try to collect on the same debt. They also charge outrageous fees for collection, like $7000 on a $10,000 student loan. DO NOT TALK TO THEM OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, THEY WILL LIE, LIE, AND LIE. Make them put everything in writing and send them a cease & desist letter and state that you will only communicate with them in writing. Then file a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General in the state that they are located and the state you are located in. Keep a log of every call and if you have the unfortunate experience to speak to any of the collection representatives, the first words out of your mouth should be. This call is being recorded to ensure that you are following to the rules of the FDCPA. Keep phone records and recordings and take a picture of the caller id when they call. They will lie and state that they didn't call. They are already violating the FDCPA by not identifying themselves truthfully on the Caller ID. Toll Free Call is the the name of the company. Windham Professionals is the name.

I just received a phone call from this company. They asked for my sister by name. When I told them my name, they asked if I was her sister and asked for her number claiming they were handling a legal matter for her. The number on my caller id came up with the same area code as mine. I didn't give them any info. I told them I'd have her call them back.

keeps calling no talk /put on hold

i just received a bill from them in the mail from them. there are three different addresses which include new york, Georgia, and texas. they are saying i owe over 22,000 dollars for a loan. i have no idea what they are talking about. the letter says i have 30 days to dispute it, however after doing a lot of research on scams and reading these complaint sites, i am not sure if i should contact them.

Report banking and credit issues to the "department of consumer affairs". If you have been wronged. you can go on there website and report the company. The DOCA will address them and make sure they are not breaking laws. then they will come back to you with a answer. They are a government program to protect consumers from the banks and credit people. It worked for me...try it.

This number called one of my brothers that I haven't spoken to in years. How would they get his number? He messaged me on fb telling me they called asking for me. What a crock of poo.
