I figured out why the Do Not Call Registry complaints were not stopping these calls... apparently they don't apply to companies you do business with (I have a checking/savings account with Wells Fargo). I updated my privacy preferences online and voila! The calls finally stopped. Hope this helps...

877 740-3336 keeps calling, leaves no message, calls every day or so

told the lady on the phone that any more calls would close any account that we have with weels fargo would be closed. have'nt been called in a week! still waiting

Constantly get calls from this number. Never leaves a message. I finally answered just now, caller asked for me by name, I confirmed it was me and he hung up.

1-877-740-3336 ,keeps claing me every day ,before I get home .I don;t know this is but I wish they would stop calling.

Wells Fargo could not figure out what department this is coming from, but changed my "Privacy Preferences" on my Wells Fargo accounts so these soliciations will (allegedly) STOP (although sometimes it takes 60 days)(Yikes!) And the reason I'm probably getting multiple-multiple-multiple calls, is because we have SIX different accounts with Wells Fargo. Good luck to the rest of you, but CALL WELLS FARGO AT 1-800-869-3557 AND CHANGE YOUR PRIVACY PREFERENCES IMMEDIATELY. They are "excused" from the Do Not Call list, because I do business with them.

They call at all times of day and no one on the line, I have read another blog with direct tv  toll free number 1 800 998 2094 that does the same crap. A freind of mine was made to pay a fine in court for phone harrasment after only one call to someone. They totaly took their word for it and now its on her record. why are big companys allowed to do this with no recourse? grrrrrrrrr

The recording I got when I called this number back says it is a solicitation from Wells Fargo.

This number is calling three to four times a day, everyday. I don't answer, but it is very annoying. It doesn't seem to matter if you are on the state and national do not call lists, and no one in government seems to care if a company does this.

Yeah, something for Wells fargo but no one is ever there! Maddening!  I am getting calls 2-3 times per day and don't know what I'm suppose to do to make it stop!

If you call them back, there is an option to be removed from their list. I tried this today.  We'll see if they call me back again.

Many calls, no message

Why have I even registered with the DO NOT CALL list.  Does this law even work?  I'm getting so tired of toll free numbers calling my phone!

Somebody claiming to be a representative of Wells Fargo selling some kind of insurance. When she asked me when my Birthday was I asked her why she needed to know that. She said she had to verify my identity. I told her I don't give out personal information over the phone and if that means I don't get the insurance then so be it. I didn't need it before she called so why would I need it now. Goodbye and have a nice day. Funny caller ID didn't say Wells Fargo.

Continued calls form a very poorly run dialing system.  They should be fined out of business. No matter who they are, I'd never do business with them after this rot.

I get on a average two to three calls a day. Last night it was 9 p.m. and they called. It was 8:30 a.m. first call today.

I called the number back and it was Wells Fargo about a special offer.  I followed the prompts to be removed from their call list.  Hopefully it will work

This number has called me 3-5 times a day for the past week or so. When I answer all I get is a disconnect tone. When I call back it's Well's Fargo.
I do have a home mortgage through them, so they can get around the Do Not Call list - however I have very specifically stated that if they were to contact me again I would take my business elsewhere. The man on the other end told me he understood and my number would be removed within 30 days...that was about 6 months ago.
Guess they don't care about having customers...

Ditto, ditto and ditto all of the previous comments. I have been getting these calls on the average of at least one a day for the past two months. If I answer, the caller hangs up -- If I don't answer, there is never a message left. I have called the number back only to get the recorded message about some Wells Fargo "Special Promotion." Okay, duh! What is the special promotion that has yet to be revealed? Apparently whom ever is calling deals exclusively with promoting feelings of hostility toward Wells Fargo -- I don't find that to be very "Special."
