Yep same here. Twice today. First time I thought it was a scam, but the second time I was beginning to wonder so I googled the ph #. My VM message was cut off. It said "...courtesy call. Please call me today at (877) 786-0938. Again that toll free number is (877) 786-0938." The first time it came from (215) 944-8989 and the second time it came from (810) 742-1125. Thanks for the post guys and confirming it was a scam. :)

Just received call and voice mail message was left from 810-232-3297 on my cell phone (which only friends and family have).  Same message as everyone else.  "Reduce interest down to 1.5 since I only make the minimum payments and call 877-786-0938."

My husband got the same call from Vanessa who gave her extension as #1309.  UGh!

The caller didn't leave a message, don't know if they realized it was the wrong number when it went to VM or what. Just wondering, have any of you used free credit report.com? Started getting these calls right after I got my report.

Got the same message.  Wow you would think they would actually try to call someone with debt.  First thing I did when I got this message was to Google them and well here I am.  Gotta love technology.  Whoever is buying there leads needs to be shot.

Call came on my cell # (which no one has) 8/31/10 at 1:32 p.m. from 989-643-7129.  Same VM as all others reported here.

Received a call from 989-643-7129 on 8/31 at 09:00 a.m. PST.  It was a recording with Amber Johnson...credit this and that.  I will call them and repost about what happens.

Amber Johnson called me too...funny as I do not carry cc debt nor have I contacted anyone about it.  Her call came in from 616-249-7778 to my wrok cell phone which is not associated with any of my accounts.  Fishing scam at best...

I just received the same 1/2 left message about cutting my monthly debit in half. Funny, I don't have cc debt, and only family has my cell #. The number to call was 1-877-786-0938, number left on my cell 1-616-249-7778.

Amber did sound nice, but same story here. She called my Google Voice number. Number calling me was from (616) 249-7778.

Caller said she was Amber Johnson and that we had spoken last week (no we didn't) about lowering my credit card rates and this was a courtesy call.  Also asked me to call back to 877-786-0938.  I did not, instead I googled the number and found thi site.
