- rt-AZSame message left on my voice mail. Except the first part of the message was cut off so no co. was given. I do not have MC anyway.
I never answer calls from 800 nor do I return them. Just to be safe, rather than be sorry.
Looks like AZ is a target.- Caller: unknow
- Rachel in PhoenixI got the same message. It has to be a fishing scam.
- Caller: Barclays Card Services
- MeI got the same call in AZ
I do not have a credit card with them. - cgnaztalked to mastercard, gave them the phone number, it is a fraudulent site. They say they will look into it, hope so.
- TinaScam, Scam, Scam! I got a call from this number 20 min after I had used my barclay MC out of town. It is normal for them to contact me when there is a question on my usage. This time it was automated and asked me to enter my # and I did, then it said it was incorrect and to try again, so I did, then it said sorry and disconnect me. I immediately called my cc company, barclay, and they said they never called and it was a scam. I am usually very cautious and amazed I fell for this. Timing got me on this, please no one fall for this.
- Caller: Barclay Fraud Department
- Robert SagarnagaReceived a call from 877-818-8319 saying something about a hold being placed on my barcley master card, I do not HAVE a master card of any type
- Caller: Barcley Card
- AnneWe have an AZ cell but are not there. Got the call at 11:20 pm didn't have good reception and don't associate credit with the # so figured it wasn't legit.
- Caller: Barclays ?
- Tawnee AZThey really must be targeting AZ. They called me 2x.
- Caller: World Credit Card
- AZ GuyGot the same message as others described, fraud department from Barclay's. Didn't call back the number they left as I don't have a Barclay's card and my credit monitoring showed no new cards opened in my name. I'm in Arizona with a 602 area code/cell so they are definitely targeting this area.
- Caller: phishing scam
- AZdutchJust received a call from 877-818-8319, advising us we had credit card fraud on a Barclay Card. When called number back advised the number had been disconnected.
- Caller: Barclay Fraud Department
- VC replies to MartinThis is definitely credit card phishing. When you call back they the first thing the auto answer asks for is your credit card #. We don't even have that card but they scare you into thinking fraud happened on your account and it's been shut down. The call back number varies our call back was 866-467-4704.
- SarahI got the same automated message after I made an international purchase, called the number back, and stupidly entered in the requested info to "validate" my card.
A few days later, MC legitately did call me, and I had over $9000 of fraudulent charges on my account!
I'm also in AZ.- Caller: Scam
