I totally agree.They hound me with mail,too.- and-the ones I get in the mail are marked "second notice" or "third notice" as if I owe them money. Am very tired of it. No more money from me. Too bad.

If you have FIOS, you can manage blocking online, etc.  Verizon allows you to block certain numbers (up to 10) or turn on a do not disturb feature.  You can select 10 numbers to ring through and block the rest all day or during certain times.  Just log in to your FIOS and check out all the features.  I just entered all those numbers into my blocking.  Hope this helps some of you...

Have received many calls from various toll free numbers that turn out to be March of Dimes callers.  Just received one from this number today Monday 10/21/13 at 12:40 PM.  I actually answered this one.  Nobody there at first but after saying hello a couple of times someone asked for my wife.  I asked who this was and was told it was Larry from March of Dimes.  My wife donated to them years ago when her brother did a walk for the MOD.  I explained to Larry that we had received many calls from MOD on many different numbers and to please take our name off of their list.  I also explained we are non National DNC list.  He apologized and said he would remove us from their list. He then repeated the number which I verified.  I just hope it happens as we are very tired of being harassed by these calls.

have received numerous calls from this number and found out from a different site that this is not March of Dimes at all.  One person wrote that they gave $10 via credit card and when they received their statement it was not from the march of dimes and $100 was deducted from their account.  Do not let them scam you.  They called this am and just told them to mail me all of their info for their charity including a copy of their 501c (tax exempt IRS info) and income/expense statements so I can review and got hung up on really quick!

The March of Dimes DO NOT call asking for donations.  It is a scammer that calls. I have it also and block this number.  When I had polio during the epidemic way back in 1950, they called offering to help so I have no problem donating to them when I want to.

I got several calls Toll Free Caller 877-842-5169.Sometimes late at night.

Calls from this number two or three times a day several days a week as late as 9:30pm. They leave no message and when I called back their message was no one could take my call at that time.

I have been getting calls, at least one everyday, from different numbers.  I never answer unknown numbers or calls without an ID.  I have checked most of these numbers in 800Notes and they are all reported to have been a solicitation for the March of Dimes.

I called the March of Dimes national office in NY and asked that my phone number be removed from their solicitor's listing.  They said it would take at least 24 hours (yeah right).  I explained that I get at least 12 solicitation mailings a year, and have usually donated about twice each year.  I told them that apparently that isn't enough, and isn't appreciated, since over the last three weeks I have been getting calls daily,  I told them that I will never donate another "dime".

Received a call from this number this morning.  No message left.  I see, in the comments above, that it is from the March of Dimes.  I have had calls from MOD, that are from march of dimes.  I gave last few years, a small ammount, but hate the address lables and phone calls!  They have to stop!

Robodialer that does not leave message.  When we returned the call, there is a nice recording saying that March of Dimes offices are closed right now.

Thanks for the information.  we got letters from MOD multiple times in a year with mailing address label.  We did send out checks before but don't like frequent unsolicited calls.

I agree with all of these posts!  I emailed the March of Dimes directly since they seem to have my phone number.  I love and respect the March of Dimes but I am getting at least two calls each day from this numbers and mail contact about 4-6 times a year.  I am hoping that others will go directly to their website and explain that this bombardment will result in less donations rather than more!
