I got that same message today around 8:00 a.m. while I  was sleeping. Brittany said I needed to call back before 1:30 in order to claim the $1000 shopping spree. So during the time, I typed this number in and realized it is a scam!

I got the same call and gave them my credit card number for the 1000 gift certificat to Wali world and they charged my credit card 5,000.00 Dollars. If you recieved a call like this please do not be stupid like my dumbass. My credit card is a unsecured credit card so i'm out 5,000 Dollars. The fuckkers that took it should go strait to hell.

they called me and i almost called back... and then i googled it...

I got the same call about the 1,00 shopping spree and followed it through listening. They are trying to sell magazines 6 of them for 3.98 a week. I told them I didnt want the magazines. They said it was part of the prize. So I continued to listen. They said they then need my expiration date on a credit or debit card. I told them I would not give that information over the phone. She told me she couldnt give me the prize without it. I told her the prize was not that important then. I also told her If you enter a real sweepstake the prize is absolutely free you do not have to pay for anything. A that point she hung up on me.

I just got a call today from a Amber from Mountain Area.  I did not answer the call let it go to VM.  I checked and it was told that she has some good news/bad news.  Good news I won $1000 shopping spree/Bad news she did not get in touch with me.  Bad news is for them...I did google them.  Glad I followed my gutt on this one.

I just got two calls from Mountain Area stating that I had won a $250 Walmart Shopping "Voucher".  Total scam...

Had a missed call  on my cell from a 423-586-1663 number that said her name was Brittany from Mountain something and that she had some good news and bad news and that the good news was that I had won a $250 shopping voucher to walmart and that the bad news was that she was unable to talk to me but congratulated me and told me to call her back at 877-859-5199. I call the 877 number from my home phone and the person who answered it didn't say a thing and then hung up.. I tried again.. I then called the number that they had originally called from and asked why they were calling, took my cell number and said oh, who have won a $250 shopping voucher etc...etc.. that all I had to do was pay $3.95 a week for 6 magazines, I said ok and she said she would put her supervisor on, she then got back on the phone and said that her supervisors were busy and that one would call me back.. I said ok but when I hung up I looked the numbers up online and saw that this was a scam, so when Danille called me back I went along with it for a minute then she started asking for my credit card info and I told her that I didn't give that info over the phone and she said well I can't get anything to you till you do, I then told her that I knew it was a scam and that I saw it all online, she told me to go to the Mountain website and see that walmart is doing this, and I proceeded to tell her that anyone can make a website but it doesn't mean that it is lagite, and I hung up on her.... haven't heard form them since but we will see.

TOTAL SCAM..... They need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They say they have good news and bad news, Good news is I have won a $250.00 Wal-Mart gift card and the bad news is that they couldn't get in touch with me. I called and then they asked what my name was and the last four digits of my SS number. After hearing that I hung up and reported them here.

I RECEIVED THIS CALL THIS MORNING FROM A VERY ENERGETIC AN CONFIDENT LADY NAMED TERRY WITH MOUNTAIN AREA, WHO CALLED ME BY NAME AND SAID SHE HAD GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS, GOOD NEWS IS I HAVE WON A $ 250 WALMART VOUCHER BUT THE BAD NEWS IS THEY DIDNT GET AHOLD OF ME THEN GAVE THIS NUMBER OF 8778595199 TO CALL HER BACK AND HER EXTENSION NUMBER 188, YET ON MY CALLER ID  THE NUMBER SHOWED UP AS 42331876376. IN THE VERY BEGINNING OF THE MESSAGE BEFORE SHE STARTS TO SPEAK YOU CAN HEAR A BABY SQUALL.
 I KNEW THIS WAS SUSPICIOUS IMMEDIATELY! HOPE SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THIS, I FEEL THAT THE ELDERLY IS PROBABLY BEING THE ONES TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF MOST LIKELY AND IT MAKES ME LIVID i MAY TRY TO REPORT EM AT MY LOCAL BANK AND SEE WHAT COMES OF IT, SOMTHINGS GOT TO BE DONE.

Just received a call that I won a $250 gift card to WalMart.  Checked here before I called back Carrie callback number given was 8778595199

total scam. wanted me to have a prepaid card if i didn't have a real mastercard or visa with at least $30.00 to not have to pay for my free voucher.
