- RoseWe have been getting this call too from CMS. There is nothing but silence at the other end. We have tried to ignore it but they persist in calling for the last month, several times a day including the evening. No message is left. Interesting. It could be the Globe and Mail. I have told them emphatically over the years since the cancellation of subscription we are not interested and most emphatically expressed why we don't want it in the house. If this is indeed the G&M I consider this more than a nuisance; it is vindictive behavior.

- MartyCMS is the most irritating company I have ever dealt with. I have now twice asked to be on their do no call list and they still call. I have now laid a complaint to the CRTC and will keep submitting one for every time they call. Maybe if they receive enough complaints they might go away for good. They never have any agent available and all you get is a hang up. You should also cancel your newspaper for dealing with such a slime ball company as CMS.

I hung up! - Anna#2I just googled this number as I'm getting so many calls from them also. Decided to answer in a 'friendly' voice, just to see if someone was actually on the other end. No luck, like all of you, it just goes dead after a few seconds. CMS is displayed....I suggest we be proactive, and call Bell, CRTC and your local city councillor...I understand the setup with these marketing calls: your number rings (on some sort of list) and if no pickup, it almost simultaneously dials next (victum's) number on list; that's why sometimes if you answer you can hear some sort of telemarketing call centre in background. BUT WE ARE ALL EXPERIENCING HANG UPS with this exact CMS name/number...what's up??!!! And asking telemarketers to take one's number off the list (e.g. window replacement company, moving company, etc.) is CRAP - they should ALL be fined...Don't we have a right to keep our home private? And which company, actually succeeds in whatever service or product they sell, via telemarketing??? BUT I THINK IF WE WERE TO BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES, WE DO NEED TO TAKE OUR VOICE TO NEXT LEVEL - write in to the papers, our City Hall, get neighbors to sign a petition on your street, hey, Let's not pay our phone bills for ONE month - everyone, and see how quickly this by-law gets changed ...we are too passive.

- nora replies to upset is an understatementI called them in kitchener and emailed wayne too. i received email and phone personal apologies from wayne and an employee named cora. sincere apology too. how do we as a population convince these companies to improve their way of doing business to stop polluting our personal space with dead air when we pick up, leaving a feeling of harrassment, not to mention expenses incurred from them calling our cell phones a dozen times a week? they cant be making money from all this harrassment? is there a technological wizard out there who can inexpensively solve their modus operandi problems? google the number and read all the angry responses at sites like this all across the internet and the county. surely all this anger and harassment cannot be good for wayne and his reputation? are there technological ways to improve their modus operandi?

I never answer calls unless it has Company name or they leave message.

- RickI have same problem, in past have used auodial on phone and called 400 times, they called and stoped. It was on a free call number. What happens is you will load up the operaters and they are payed on orders so get mad at the marketing compay and it cost them for the call. I am retiered and disabled so have time. I can do about 5 call a minute and do not answer when they pickup, just hangup and deal againt. I do not know if it is against the law. I called local police and they said it is Better Business problem and will do nothing.So I keep bothering thier staff.Hope it works for you.

- anomynousi got this call just today looked it up recently and it was the globe an mail and there willing to give us a 3 month subscription and after that they will stop sending the paper. Me as i dont read the news paper rarely i use the net or local news station on radio i just said no thanks don't need the papers. I should of said take me of their list too. I should say that next time. The caller ID for this number is different from everybody else it doesnt say CMS but UNKNOWN... so we know they hide their identies too.
