88213039018

This is a part of of massive missed call scam.
Hundreds of these numbers are being used.  They are using Automatic Calling Equipment (ACE) to call millions of phones across Europe.  They hope you call the number back and the money that is billed is shared between your network operator and the companies that own and operate the numbers.

This is a multimillion euro fraud that the regulators in each country are turning a blind eye to.

Look at Phone Call Complaints and you can see a pattern.

Last year the fraudsters were using 88213 21 ****.  It was reported in the Danish media.

The '21' range was blocked in Denmark. The 88213 22 **** range was also being used.
Now they appear to be using 88213 48 **** blocks.
Now they appear to be using 88213 03 **** blocks.

In 1995 (?) the ITU

Intermatica may not be the end user but they will be taking a share of the revenue this fraud generates.

You should all be reporting this annoying antisocial fraud to your media.

I got a missed call from this number +88213030003 at 18:15 hours on 25th April 2009. I happen to know no one with such number and therefore I decided to check on the net and found this valuable info from you. Thank you very much for opening my eyes.

a number from "+88" has called me twice.
last year and now when i were in school at 13.32 13th may 2009.
I didn't answer because i know that nobody i know has that number

Recieved a call from +88213039018 today and when I answered someone just hanged up. I've read about these fake numbers recently so I decided to look it up on internet and found this site, THANK YOU for the info!

You should contact Intermatica (and your media) and ask them why the hell hundreds of their numbers are appearing as millions of missed calls around the world.
If they are not involved I'm sure they will explain who is.

The Italian Regulator is Agcom.

By the way these are revenue share numbers. Your Networks are sharing the billed revenue (many millions) with Intermatica.  This is possibly why none of the National Regulators appear to be to keen to stop this annoying fraud.
