keeps calling my cell, no message or caller info

This is legitimately Jersey Central Power & Light with reminder of any outstanding balance.  It's not a scam.

This number called me 4,5 times today about my account. "You need to contact us immediately about your account". I called the illuminating company who has my account and they said they said they didn't call.  There are too many freaking scams out there.

I called and verified with the power company.  This is a scam.  My CS agent called the number.  She was asked to input her phone number.  She input the number of the power company itself.  A recording told her her bill was past due.  Not sure how the power company itself has a past due bill.

Don't listen to the people here telling you they work for the power company and that this number is legit.  It isn't.  Call your local power company and verify for yourself.

Great Idea! NIce of you to remind me, as well as let everyone else know!  I did do this once. The person calling was offering me a 'free home security system from **'. I called and got a security guard but he was very helpful. He said several other ppl had called with the same story. He told me they no longer had a security system for free/sale/rent. BUT I got the impression the caller just wanted to confirm the number called belonged to a particular individual they were looking for. THANK YOU!!!

This is a scam every time my meater is read about 2 days later I get a call saying it is past do DO NOT PAY THEM ANY THING IT IS A SCAM REPORT THEM

This # actually belongs to First Energy Corp. It's an automated call that informs you that your electric bill is late. No scam there. That is my company and my bill is late LOL!

Call your utility, they will tell you the same thing.

Same experience. Numerous calls and I hang up or don't answer at all. Once they left a message that its an emergency and call back, not saying who they are or why they called. Its a scam.

It is a Penelec (your electric company) coutesy call because your bill is past due

..........think folks, use your head..........if your bill is past due it's added on to the next bill.
This is NOT a courtesy call..............it's a SCAM.   The Tele# does not belong to any Utility company.

Called today.  Seems to be the power company.

This is a SCAM.  When calling back the number, there is no acknowledgement of the company who called or you are calling.  Sorry folks, when you call a company you should get the name of the company.  I did not enter my phone number they called me at but entered a 0, yes just on digit, and it told me I had a past due account and wanted payment immediately.  This is a SCAM.  Feel sorry for the folks who are falling for it.  

You claim that they call when the bill is past due . Why would they call when your bill is current and already paid for next month also ?

Basiclly it is a scam call

DUH! I received a call from this # today right after I paid my bill, telling me my account was past due. I told them they should check before they call and if it was the utility company why would they need all my information when they should have it in their computer. THIS IS A SCAM!!!

This is really messed up because they called me and when I got home I called the number back, and of course it was a automated service but it told me my account was past due, which I knew was a lie because I just paid my bill yesterday, on time. But the scary part is that they knew exactly how much my bill was that i just paid, my first, middle and last name, my phone number, and also my home address. So it has to be someone at your local electric company selling everyone's personal info for money. Go to the FBI website and report it, once they get 100 complaints about the same thing they will have agents look into the matter. So go report it and lets have them low life, no good [***] busted, so that they can not take advantage of us hard working people. Its almost Christmas time and we all have to work to pay for our Christmas but these people are just trying to steal our hard earned money!
