I just called them back after looking at these reviews of the number.  Before calling, I checked my account info on-line (mind you, I checked it a few hours ago, so I knew what to expect).  As soon as I pulled it up, I noticed a fraudulent charge of $225 out of state at a department store.  Called back and they shut down the card.  Credit union is supposed to call us in the morning.

    It's Legit
I was suspicious a well until I spoke with the representative and asked questions which she was able to verify prior to be providing very little details.  Apparently when a merchant or retailer attempts to charge your debit card multiple times and they have an incorrect CVC # that's located on the back of the card.  When she mentioned this I had just received an e-mail from the online merchant indicating that my card was declined and it all made sense.  I hope tis helps those of you who are / were suspicious like me prior to calling.

Fraud prevention, take this call! They just called me to make sure I was the one that tried to buy something for $250 at walmart in a different state. I wasn't, thank god they called.

When I called this number it was legitimate. They notified me about a suspicious charge. Someone must have skimmed my card and tried to use it at a gas station in another state. Thanks to this service for rejecting the transaction and cancelling my card.

Like many of you, I was very hesitant at first to return this call. But after researching on this site and another about this number I called; the number, is in fact, legitimate. They asked for no username or password, or anything that would give my card away. They simply verified a few charges after multiple attempts of me attempting to buy something online, that was all.

Hope this is helpful to anyone else wondering

This is a legitimate company hired by my credit union to quickly detect fraudulent use of debit/credit cards.

I went to my credit union's homepage and the number is there listed under "After hours fraud hotline."  I saved the number in my phone so that I won't get all paranoid in the future.

They named my last 2 transactions (Which were actual purchases that I had just recently - like within 24 hours - online.) and asked if I had made them. I told them that I had and they thanked me and that was it.

If they are calling YOU I suggest that you call them back.  If you are mistrustful go to YOUR bank's homepage and find them there.

I got a call from this number today and said they from my credit union (which they named specifically by name) and after looking on this site, I checked my bank account online, and lo and behold, there were 4 transactions from today from the other side of the country.  So I called them back, they had me verify the last 4 of my SSN and then brought up those very same transactions.  They canceled my card and told me my credit union would contact me directly, but I went ahead and contacted them to make sure my card would be replaced immediately.

Definitely call them back when they call.  If you're unsure, check your online account before you do, to see if there's anything out of the ordinary.  This really is a legitimate service.

These people are legit.  They call on behalf of your credit union.  Called to report fraudulent activity on my debit card, read off transactions and after I told them it wasn't me, they closed the card and notified my CU to reissue.  These people are legit.

This is a legit number.  I had made several online purchases through my credit union debit card in one day, and they were calling to confirm a couple of them.

It's likely to be legitimate. I checked the contact options for my credit union after receiving such a call, and the number was listed there. Then they listed my last two transactions (one of which was a little extreme) which I could verify on my bank account web site as being correct, so that was correct. They did ask for the last 4 digits of my ssn as well.

It is indeed a company that works with credit unions on the security end.  I got a call Sunday and wasn't home - but they left a message on my answering  machine.  When I went to buy something Sunday night - my card was denied at home depot - because they weren't taking any chances cause they couldn't reach me.

I didn't call back on sunday but did on Monday - they identified themselves, and I was comfortable giving them my last 4 SS# as I knew that my card had already been locked - and they had the name of my credit union and my account info..  they asked me about a charge where I had made an error putting in my pin the day before - and I recognized what had happened.  Card was immediately unlocked

I got a call for my husband's card. I didn't speak to them, but immediately called our credit union. His debit card had been frozen because of a fraudulent charge online. The credit union pulled it up right away, so the call certainly appears to have been legitimate.

A message was left on my answering machine from this number and I called back to find out that someone tried to use my debit card number on the other side of the country.  I'm going up to my credit union tomorrow to get a new card.

Received a voicemail from this number, saying they were calling [my name] on behalf of [name of my credit union] regarding questionable charges on my ATM debit card, requesting a callback, and leaving a case number. I googled the number and found reports on this site and 800notes, and called my credit union directly. The credit union confirmed that it was a legitimate call from a fraud protection management service they use for their members, and transferred me to them. I was asked for my case number and the last four digits of my debit card, and the rep went over two recent charges on my card - one of them legit (gas I purchased at my local station over the weekend) and one of them fraudulent (less than $3 from a suit store in Kentucky - I live in Oregon). The rep advised me to call my credit union back to cancel the card, which I did.

What I found most interesting is how fast they called me. My credit union said the fraudulent charge came through at 11:48 AM Pacific time, and I received the call from this number at 11:52 AM.

I guess my advice is to be skeptical, and verify with your financial institution when you get a call like this.

This company is fine. They monitor transactions for banks and credit unions. I was skeptical at first but they didnt ask for much personal information and only wanted to verify some high charges I had recently made. They gave me the specific charges I had made so I knew they were a legitimate company. I'm glad for services like this which make sure that my money is being watched.

I got a call this morning from this number with the same story.  Calling on behalf of my CU with a case number asking me to call them back.  I called my RU and it was completely legit! The person I spoke to transfered me to to these people who specialize on fraudulent charges.  They asked me about  a couple of purchases I made.  I thanked them and hung up.

    THE NUMBER IS A SCAM
I got a call from them yesterday. They claimed  to be a credit fraud place they gave my name that is on this "account" of theirs (yes it was my name) and a 4 digit number (which I've never heard of) and told me that there was "suspicious" activity on my debit card. I told the man that that was funny as I do NOT have a debit card, in fact I do NOT have a bank account at all. He promptly hung up on me. THIS IS A SCAM.

Got a call this morning about my husband's debit card. Claiming some suspicious activity. Our bank monitors all that. Be aware. Hang up on them.

The company is called co-op network and it is 100% legit. It is a 3rd party fraud monitoring service that over 800 credit unions in the US utilize. The emblem is usually on the back of your debit or credit cards.
It is good to be vigilant, but by being ignorant and unwilling to hear the "fraud analyst" out and verify the activity, you'll more than likely notice your card is blocked the next time you use it.
Just because you don't notice the activity on your online banking or statements, doesn't mean it's not being attempted. Remember that declined charges do not show up. Credit unions and their card monitoring services are usually really good about noticing fraudulent charges and they are able to decline them on suspicion of fraud. But someone still has your card number.
Your credit union may refer to them as "falcon fraud" because that is the system used.
