Same scenario & same complaints everyone else has. Question is, what can we do to these [***] to get the calls/hang-ups to stop or, better yet, to report them?

i recived a call from this number today asking for my parents and they knew my name and i told them that they werent home and the lady just hung up then i dialed back and it was a fax dial tone so i looked it up online but i found this.my caller id said toll free.

This is so creepy. The same thing happened to me - a man called and asked for my daughter's (knew her name) mom and dad...then hung up.  I called the Univ. Prep Company and they called me back from a name of "David Graves" on my caller id. (how wierd if that is a company), the number they called me back from was (619) 260-1206 (that is not even an 800 number!!!)  This has to be a scam.  The woman told me she would put me on their do not call list.  About a minute later I received a call that rang twice and then hung up before I could even answer.

this # called us 3 times, the first time we ignored it, thinking if it was important they could leave a message, the second time, there was no one on the other line, the third time my dad answered the phone, and they asked if he was the parent (and used my name) and my dad goes yes, and said is was regarding my ACT score (which i havent even taken...only a sophomore)and said other stuff...my dad just ignored everything he said, and said to stop calling us...we'll see if they do

check the web site its not up, callrd the phone# 866 343 6754 of course all agents are busy , if you like they will take you name phone # address, ss#, credit card # and call you back. i m also on do not call list, some good that does

They called me and asked for "zoe's mom or dad" when I told them that they weren't here, he hung up on me.

i keep on getting this call from this number 888-260-2222. they ask for my daughters mom or dad. when i said they were not home they hung up. i want them to stop calling.

I have had several calls from this number - but didn't recognize the #.  After searching Google and this posting - I can say it is probably the same company as the others as I have a high school Sr.  One of the major networks on television had a piece on this company (or one just like it)featured last week.  They are in NO Way affliated with any legit SAT/Prep Service - according to the program - the software material was over 5 years old and the legitimate software offered thru SAT/Prep Services is cost MUCH less than these scam artist charging for this outdated service that is NOT approved by any legit source.  Parents beware!

just a hang up, but I have been called by someone selling SAT prep stuff too.  They also claimed that my daughter requested it.  When I pressed for the 'when did she request it?' they had nothing...probaly get the enrollment roster from the school district.  But whenever possible, be sure to keep them on the line as long as possible without buying anything...drives upn their cost of sale and maybe puts them out of biz.

Caller was asking about my son's interest in taking the PSAT and when I asked how he got his information he hung up.

They called asking for my daughter as well. I answered the phone Pizza Hut, my I take your order. She asked for my daughter again, I asked her what she would like to order.  I have found answering your phone Pizza Hut, may I take your order or any other type of establishment will stop your calls.  Try it is has worked for me! They have never called again!  So nice to have peace and quiet ! I used this method for any 800, 866 or 888 number that calls me !

Who are these idiots?  Multiple calls on my caller ID all last week, no messages left.  Today when I answered, a man asked to speak to "Alan's mom or dad."  When I asked him "Who?", the call was disconnected.  Tried to call him back... got a squealing like I'd dialed a fax number.  Really beginning to annoy me.

These people called me from 1-888-260-2222 asked for myparents and when i said they weren't available they just damn hung up when they call back the are in for an very rude awakining.Peace out ppls!!!!!!!

EVERYONE FAX THEM WRITE:  DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN [ADD YOUR NUMBER] IT IS A VIOLATION UNDER THE DO NOT CALL ACT AND HARASSMENT

There have been frequent calls from this number.  I don't answer as I see only the phone number on caller ID.  There is no message.

So, pretty much the same story...they called, used my first name, asked for my mom and dad, when i said they weren't home, and asked if i could take a message, they hung up on me. Called back, got a fax tone. Jerks.

Same as all other posts - I filed an online complaint with the FCC.  May not do any good, but at least I did something.
